Some Half-Mad Comments

Welcome all, whatever it is i wish, it is that no matter what you read within these words, you find even the slightest bit of truths.

The Half-Mad Poet

Respen Starym's Poetry

Wonder

Why must a man stare to silvery moon,
Wonder while wind caresses thought,
Webs, illusion, weave through the air
Each a star's ethereal lust.

Why must the blue sky taunt us so?
Entrapping the golden orb
Warmth raining down, holy storm
That refuses to penetrate soul

Every sword slaughters the life
Innocence can no longer bear,
Yet to cast away each familiar blade,
A price very few can afford.

We dance to a tune that is no longer true
For a loss we no longer fear,
Yet each platinum smile flares down for a while
hidden indifference we all share.

Why must a wall obscure the view
Every man should wish to gaze?
False, the beauty, brick of lead,
The truth we all abuse.

Why must a man stare to onyx night.
Wonder to why all is lost,
Empty eyes, his tears cannot find
Forsaken, they no longer care

Ebon Sky

Strewn across the ebon sky,
Gems of glittergold,
A shine in beauty, a shine in light,
Life’s essence they hold.

The silver sphere hangs above
Azure waters still,
Amulet of love and power,
Divine its holly will.

Ebon thread weaves it all,
Together yet apart,
In awe we mortals stare
At nature’s loving art.

Night

She blankets us in darkness,
Withers life away,
Her beauty strikes one blind
Usurping the day.

Her eyes’ silvery shine
Fall upon the lake,
All mortals seek them
Yet tremble in her wake.

To flee her is impossible,
To hide is naive,
Always will she catch you
Always will she leave.

To her, love is freely given,
Yet love she will not take
Uncaring in her kingdom
For mortals short lived fate.

Fell

Fell wood
fell fire
fell devour soul,
devour, devour,
take it all
mayhap they'll never know

Farewell

I bid Farewell my fellows fair,
all who stood with me,
who held me strong in shadowed times
and listened to my mumbled rhymes

I bid farewell, substantial light,
that guided me steadfast,
advisors both sure and strong,
i listened to each honest song.

I bid farewell, yet never fear,
for when we all are part
memoir of our golden times
will echo forth, eternal rhymes

Dark Ribbons

Dark ribbons bind all sight,
Clouding answers true,
Onyx blade opens wounds
That hope and love ensue

Hallow thought barrage the mind,
Empty, words strike my soul,
Wondrous eyes peer into heart,
Emotion I’ll never know.

Mystery, your cloak
The night, your raven hair
Silence, a melody,
Wondrous, you’re absent stair.

Whisper Whisper
Whisper, Whipser
Dark and strong,
Burrows into mind,
Hope, glory, empty dreams,
Slither, each a lie.

Dark eclipse shadows soul,
Spring its welcome guise,

False in truth, shadowed day
Sweet, the demise.

Warm release,
Loving grasp,
Noose caressing throat.
Soft as silk, strong as bone
A trap of endless thought.

Saphire Eyes

Saphire eyes tremble
amid amber light
vision lost forever
Time devoured

Sunless spires forgotten,
funeral shroud cast away,
truth long forsaken
blind to molten veil.

The Winding Road
not one of my best
Ahead lies the winding road
to mystery and unknown,
to love freinds, all held dear;
to pain, hate, and blinding fear.

Through green tree it winds forth,
and granite mountian high.
Samite lakes and azure sky
pass the road that wonders by.

Golden Sun and Silver Moon
hope, yet ne'ar will meet;
for when the Moon draws near,
Golden Sun the trail'll seek.

Shade and gloom wall this path
and hope to tear its ground,
Yet always will the path lay,
though fire and death it runs.

Forever and all it winds forth,
to mystery and unknown.

Always to leave behind
Body, but not soul.

Dance
The neon lights shine and flicker,
They dance, joy and lust anew
The day’s labor long forgotten,
The music enfolding, a golden tomb.

Worry forgotten, Hate set aside
The sound now there guide,
They sway and swing
A slave to song,
The rhythm a river, swift and strong.

The beat throbs, they quiver,
Thrall to the music, they spin and twirl,
Hands weave and whisper
In patterns that none shall know.

The music dies, the movement shivers,
Slowly the day returns
Though happiness will linger,
Silent, their peace now gone.

Voices, voices, they tower in my mind,
Every one screams, whispers tear my mind,
They echo in the prison hall
Pain and lust their cry,
They echo in the prison hall
Eternally a lie

Voices, Voices, they tower in my mind,
Through ruby lips and silver tongue
They glisten in my mind.
Lies, deceit, they tare away
All I could bind.
Voices, voices, they tower in my mind.

They echo in the prison hall,
Their cries of glee and hate,
They echo in the prison hall,
Blood and lust they sate,
Malevolence they try to hide
They throw light in its stead,
Hiding the truth, a mask of heavy lead.

Voices, voices, they tower in my mind,
Everyone screams, whispers tear my mind,
They echo in the prison hall
Pain and lust their cry,
They echo in the prison hall,
Eternally a lie.

Maiden of my Night
Dedicated to Crimson
Starless, night has not beauty,
Moonless, night has no thought
Emptyness filled with sorrow
eyes grasp little light

Yet once eyes are fallen
darkness steals the shade
vision replaces worry
oblivion lost to night

Starts return, dancing
to a tune, ambrosia layered
and lighten with glory
sight now restored

And moon, divine beauty
rise above the stars
dispersing shadow
filling lonely world

Starless, there is no beauty
moonless, there is no thought
yet never truely banished
Maiden of my night

Oblivion
Wrapped in oblivion
Caged in heavy vice
I fight to never be free.
I clip my wings
As to only soar
In skies of my creation,
To swim in seas of rain
Falling only as far
As the earth allows.
I dance to a song
Rarely remembered,
With a love I’ll never know,
And smile.
Smile as a child in wonder,
At a molten horizon
As our sun sets in eternity.

The Glass Lantern
a bit simple...

A lantern sways gently
Wind weaves it forward
Draws it back
Flames, a wisp
Solemn beacon
Guide home forsaken souls.

Grey mists, censor’s scent
Promise reprieve for weathered sin
Embracing vagabond and noble
Indifferent to the wars of man.

Silver sickle, little comfort
Cold light chilling bone
Siren songs, wind’s whispers
Echo’s refracted
In glass abode.

Circle of Hate
Circle of hate
Thrice Spun
bound in angels veins
Woven, spiders ivory thread
Foundation lain in bone

Runes carved of viper tounge
ichor speaks no truth
Caligraphy of loath an lust
Thirst for silver hopes

Ethereal cage constructed
forged of lovers breath
beast rapes the spirit
beast reaves no regret

Childs tears christen,
baptised in their pain,
scalple lay the mortor
Fired with no shame

Foundation lain in bone
Woven, spiders ivory thread
bound in angels veins
thrice spun
Circle of hate.
