In Beyond the Deepwoods, Twig, the adopted son of a woodtroll, must go to his uncle's house for safety. On his way there, he does the unthinkable: he strays from the path. He finds himself lost, hungry, and alone in the Deepwoods, a mysterious and unknown place. He journeys through the Deepwoods, running into unusual creatures and even finds himself on the brink of death many times.

I enjoyed this book (It even has pictures!) because it had memorable characters, and a gripping storyline. It's not your everyday fantasy book, but it's a quick read and something to look into if you're looking for something new, fresh, and imaginative.

I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys a cast of unusual characters and a great adventure.
