This piece was ah... 'commissioned' by my husband [
Acerbus] who was in need of an award to present to a fellow Scout leader who is also a Guide leader and as [
Acerbus] put it 'the glue that keeps Mildmay Scouting together'. Since she's also a good friend and a lovely lady I was quite glad to do the piece.
The presentation went wonderfully and included a retelling of how 'Hawkfire' came to be, orated by [
Acerbus] himself. The recipient did her best to keep from crying and apparently was struck speechless for a short time - a rare event I assure you. All in all this piece took me around 24 hours to complete and looks smashing on the thick, textured paper I printed it on using a colour laser printer. I may upload a photo of the framed piece at some point (if I ever get around to unloading the camera lol) but the photo just doesn't do it justice. I'm very proud of this one... even if I didn't get paid. XD
