Description:
Hmmm...for some reason I feel as if it may actually not be an exercise in futility to attempt to define myself to the indifferent masses and actually write something in this space. So...whilst this brief optimism in mankind lasts...
I enjoy talking to people and I'm not as gloomy as I may appear to be...although I realise that the above paragraph may not endear me to the masses. If you want to discuss anything, be it literature or music or the giant duck that you saw in a vision the previous night, feel free to send a message. Just please don't say "hi" and nothing more. As I have said before, it makes for the Internet equivalent of the Awkward Pause. Of course, it's probably the imbeciles that don't bother to read this blurb that send those messages so I'm probably wasting my time in putting this down anyway. To those reading, I apologise for this insult to your intelligence.
I'm in University, studying Philosophy, English, Psychology and Linguistics. I cannot vouch for my intelligence but I can easily say that I enjoy what I do and love to discuss anything related to those subjects. Pointless religious debates also interest me, as does pretty much anything else from to mythology to anime to soap bubbles (as "They" say, small things amuse small minds).
As to who I am, I put myself in the little box marked "Goth" not because I want to be an interesting loner who worships Edgar Allen Poe but because I relate to many of its ideals (although every Goth will see different ideals, so I don't see why I bother putting that down) etc. etc. I'm a Christian but not interested in shoving my religion down your throat. I play the piano, the violin and a few percussion instruments; I write poetry and prose; I enjoy my sleep but never get it.
Autumn is ecstasy, as is the smell of new books.
I don't believe that we have free will. I do believe that that shouldn't depress us.
I tend to be melancholy for other reasons.
I really, really love soap bubbles. I know I've mentioned them before. They deserve to be mentioned again.
That's enough for now.
