"Christmas Is A Time Of Magic"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             Christmas is a time of magic:
              A time of giving, a time of sharing,
             A time of peace, a time of love
              A time of hope, a time of caring!
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             The magic seems to fill the air
              In joy and laughter everywhere.
             Hearts are happy, ever so light,
              The childrens' eyes are shining and bright.
             The feeling of Christmas is all around.
              The bells are ringing their heavenly sound.
             It is on this day, we rejoice and pray,
              Give thanks to God for His Son today.
             For all God's children, big and small,
              Old and young, short or tall,
             Gather, remember, our Sovereign King.
              All things are possible. Of Thee we sing.

"Christmas Magic"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             On this night of Christmas Magic,
             Here we are, Fairy Joy and I.
             We've eaten all we can.
             We've shared a pumpkin pie.
             As we bask in the moments at hand,
             Here in the middle of the wood,
             On this Christmas Eve,
             It is clearly understood.
             Our little hearts are filled with joy,
             While we embrace the evening's wonder,
             As we await dear Santa's visit,
             No one can put asunder.
             As we exchange our gifts,
             Between the fairy and myself,
             I am so surprised
             At what she gives this elf!
             As she waves her magic wand,
             The twinkle in her eye doth tell,
             That upon this pixie dust,
             She has cast a lasting spell.
             "You and I can now...",
             She speaks softly, but clear,
             "Fly around together
             All through the coming year!"

Probably the quickest poem I've ever written! 'Twas running out out of time...as usual! Anyway, I entered this in the Christmas Poetry Competition, 2006!

"Snow"

             There is a mystic magic
             That is cast on us each year,
             Just about the time
             Of jingle bells and cheer.

             Each and every object
             That is set within the scene,
             Glistening and white,
             A beholding sight, serene.

             As the magic little crystals
             Tumble to the ground,
             Thousands upon thousands
             Are dancing all around.

             It changes our world
             From a dreary, lifeless place.
             Everything is whitened
             Bringing wonder to a face.

             As the gathering increases,
             All the kiddies shout hooray.
             All sorts of winter toys
             Are brought out for display.

             If you look around you'll see,
             All the glowing, happy faces,
             For they know that it is time
             For winter fun and places.

             So, what is it exactly,
             Do these words bring to your mind?
             Did you say, "It's snowing!?"
             Ooh! The snowmen-making kind!
