We Suck At Life…But We’re Wicked Cool
.:Chapter 3:. Aaron
Dizzy Spell Works Just As Well
Suddenly I saw a bright light flash before me. I cuddled closer to my stuff penguin Nat. Yes I named my penguin Nat, not Nathan. They just happen to have similar names. I rubbed my head against Nat once the flashes went off again. I really did not like that damn light. I suddenly felt something grab my waist tighter. “What the hell?” I opened my eyes to see the school's soccer jersey.
“This is not my lovely penguin,” I said in a sleepy voice. I then heard laughter from above. I was still groggy from sleep so I had know idea who the bloody hell I was holding on to. I felt something breathe on my neck and stir. Nathan raised his head with sleep-tousled hair and looked at the situation. Nathan’s arms were wrapped tightly around my waist. Our legs were locked together. My face was buried in his chest to block out the light. Did I mention that James was above us with a camera? My 400 dollar camera. I loved photography so Eva and I were in the photography club. I had saved up for two years to get that damn camera.
“JAMES I AM GOING TO KILL YOU IF YOU DON’T PUT DOWN THAT CAMERA!” I screamed at him.
“Aaron,” Nathan whispered in my ear. It sent a shiver down my spine. Just shows you how close he is to me.
“What do you want Nathan?” I said glaring at him. He looked down at me with amusement.
“You should be more worried about the position we are in than the camera.”
“That camera is 400 dollars. It took me two years to save up to get it.” He laughed at me. I was confused. What was so funny? I mean the guy I hated was holding a camera that cost me a fortune. So what if I was wrapped up in Nathan’s arms. Wait, I was wrapped in Nathan’s arms. The Nathan. My brother’s hot best friend Nathan. The one I refused to have a crush on. “Oh my god. Nathan get off of me.” It had finally sunk in what was going on. I pushed Nathan off of me and snatched my camera from James.
“Well, sis, it looks as if you were having some fun.” I turned around to see Erik leaning on the wall smirking.
“Oh can it Erik.” I looked around to see what in the world would have happen that would cause me to wake up in Nathan’s arm “Eva is so going to flip,” I thought. She has this weird idea that I have a crush on Nathan. I have know idea were she gets it from. She is just crazy or sane in our case. I snapped out of my thoughts. “What happen?”
“About that, I am really sorry.” I looked up at Nathan in confusion about his apology. He saw the confusion on my face and explained. “After you passed out I was bringing you home. I kind of slipped on the stairs and fell. I hit my head pretty hard so I got knocked out,” He said in embarrassment.
“Nice going, Summers,” said Kyle Johnson. The rest of the Soccer team walked in after him I just rolled my eyes at their stupidity. How can I hang out with the stupidest guys ever you ask. Three reasons:
I am on the soccer team. Which is were the morons come from
I have two idiot brothers who hang out with the morons.
All the morons want to go out Eva or me.
“Lets just go see how Eva is doing,” I said rolling my eyes again. It took about ten minutes to get to Eva’s house. She only lived down the street. When we walked in I about fainted. In my older brother’s arms was my best friend. James took the camera I had in my hand and started to take pictures. I yet again had two options. Freak out or play this to my advantage. Guess what I decided to do. I suddenly saw that Eva and Gabe had moved.
“How sweet. I knew that you liked someone, Eva, but my brother?”
Who I assumed to be Gabriel, stirred from next to Eva and I watched as Eva noticed the uncomfortable position that they were in…well…at least with people staring at them. Eva was clinging to Gabriel’s chest with his arm around her waist, his neck still nuzzled in the crook of her neck, and legs tangled together.
They were still in their regular clothes: Eva in jeans and her favorite shirt and Gabriel in his soccer jersey and shorts with cleats. One more flash went before I heard Eva scream, “I’m gonna kick your ass whoever’s doing that!” Eva and Gabe got off of each other. Everyone started to laugh except Eva, Gabriel and me. Erik, James, and a few of the other soccer team members that had come because practice was canceled were all laughing and James was holding the camera. “Oh…his life will be hell,” I thought. Eva laughed fakely and she and I ran outside where we separated, her, to the forest to thinking about Gabe, and me to a clearing father away with a waterfall and a cave behind the waterfall to think about Nathan.
I had spiffied up the cave behind the waterfall. I put in a chest in it with all of the treasures that I have. Such as my first soccer ball, a picture of the entire soccer team, and the first birthday gift I got from Nathan and Eva when they where six and seven. They were to young to have the money to buy two presents so they bought supplies to make my gift. It was a homemade picture frame with a picture of the five of us. Eva and I were soaked and sitting on swings. Gabriel was pushing Eva while Nathan had been pushing me on my swing. Eric was in the back of us all with two roses. One was a basic red rose while the other one was white with a blush of pink on the tips. Eric gave them to the guys. The guys then gave them to Eva and me. The red rose was given to Eva. The white and pink one was given to me. Besides the chest, the cave’s walls were pasted with photos and posters. The photos were of everyone in my life. The posters were of bands I liked, anime, and books. I loved books. I had most of the book I owned in a bookshelf I had Eva help me get into the cave. In a corner I had pillows, fluffy blankets, and most of my penguin collection. I had to put the penguins some were away from the soccer team. This was my haven. Only Eva knew about this place.
I hate hopeless romantics, but only when it comes to romance books, besides that I hate movie romance and real life. I love to read fantasy; I love stories; and I am a naturally blunt person. I hate lying, so I don’t do it. (Not to mention I live in my own fantasy world.)
After I looked though some of my pictures and items I cherished, I decided that Eva and I needed to find out who spiked our drinks. Whoever did it was responsible for us being in this situation, the one where we are hiding from the guys. So I went looking for Eva. I knew that she was in the forest, I just didn’t know where. You have to understand I really wanted to revenge on who ever caused all this.
“EVA GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE OR I’LL BEAT YOU TO A BLOODY PULP!” I screamed at my best friend.
After a few minutes I heard Eva scream “Eat your heart out Peter Pan!” in return.
In knew that she would be back at her house. Since I was not far, I ran to her house. Then I saw her. I hadn’t put my contacts in (yes, I wear glasses and contacts) so I did not see Nathan behind her.
“EVA!!!!” I screamed and ran to her at full speed. When I was within arms length, Eva sidestepped me, and I ran straight into Nathan, who grabbed me by the waist as I wrapped my arms round his neck. We both fell into the shallow part of the pond in a tangled mess.
At this point, Eva was laughing hysterically. I had my arms around Nathan’s neck and Nathan had his arms around my waist, and we had expressions of bewilderment. Nothing really changed from when we were falling except for the fact that we were both blushing horribly, and we were wet. And I just so happened to be wearing a white jersey. I was not happy. Eva was leaning on James laughing so hard that She fell….bringing him down with her.
“Jesus Fucking Holy Hell!” I heard James scream. “We will be the one to cause his demise. After I kill Eva,” I thought. A sharp yelp followed my thought as I suspected the man-whore was hit by his master. “I am so going to kill her.”
.:Chapter 3:. Eva
Dizzy Spell Works Just As Well
I woke up only to see flashes going off every few seconds. My head still hurt like hell. I turned around and buried my face farther into my pillow. “Mmmm…..good smelling pillow…….” I thought as realization hit me like an oncoming car as something tightened around my waist, and a warm feeling spread over my neck. Another flash went off and a sharp intake of breath was heard next to me. “How sweet. I knew that you liked someone Eva, but my brother?” I could only muster one thought at the time… “Damn you, Aaron….Damn you.”
Who I assumed to be Gabriel, stirred next to me, and I just noticed the uncomfortable position that we were in…well…at least with people staring at us. I was clinging to Gabriel’s chest with his arm around my waist, his neck still nuzzled in the crook of my neck, and our legs tangled together. We were still in our regular clothes, mind you: I in my jeans and favorite shirt and him in his soccer jersey and shorts with cleats. One more flash blinded me before I realized what had happened; they had a camera. I struggled to untangle myself and strangle whoever had the camera, and ended up in a heap on the ground. “I’m gonna kick your ass whoever’s doing that!” I screamed at them in rage. Why must our interest in photography be our downfall? I can only imagine that Aaron had undergone the same suffering, but I still curse her. Everyone started to laugh, well, except Gabriel and Aaron. Erik, James, and a few of the other soccer team members that had come because practice was canceled were all laughing and James was holding the camera. “Oh…his life will be hell,” I thought. I forced out a fake laugh and Aaron and I ran outside where we separated: her, somewhere thinking about Nathan, and me into the forest. I’m a hopeless romantic type girl. I love to read mystery, horror, and love stories, and I am naturally dramatic (not to mention a risk taker). I climbed to the top of a huge ass tree, passing by a bundle of branches that Aaron and I had tied together.
When we were younger, Aaron used to come to the U.S. every other summer…well….o
ur summer in the U.S. When she first came, I met Gabriel and Erik. Gabriel was already living here for some unknown reason to me. Well, one time, we got them to play ‘hide-and-seek’ with us. We were inseparable until the end of the summer, so naturally, we hid in or around the same places. We once hid in a tree for hours on end. The guys couldn’t find us, and we had a hard time containing our laughter as we watched them search the forest frantically. Eventually, we came down, but not before Aaron and I tied some of the branches together. You see, we loved that spot so much, we were going to build a fort. But we never got around to it so that solves the mystery of the tied branches.
What seemed like minutes later (but was really two and a half hours later), my ears came upon a familiar sound. “Eva…Eva where are you?” I heard someone call from a distance. I turned my head only to see (and hear) someone else closer. I saw his familiar black hair and his green eyes search for a sign of me. His well-toned body slumped against a tree maybe two feet away from me. “Eva! It’s me! Gabriel!” he cried out in a last, futile attempt to arouse me from my hiding place. From my position, I could see him move his lips, whispering to himself. Never to reach my ears. My heart poured into one gem, that the wind carried, only to land; nourishing the ground below it with the purity of itself, tainted by the bitterness of my sorrow. This poetic moment screeched to a halt as a shrill voice rose above the trees as a few birds flew away in fright. “EVA GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE OR I’LL BEAT YOU TO A BLOODY PULP!”
You’ve got to love Aaron………
I went to climb down the tree when, of course, the branch that I was holding onto snapped. Go figure. But luckily for me, I rolled off the bundle of branches that Aaron and I tied together when we were younger, and flew off and out of the tree. I screamed.
“Eat your heart out Peter Pan!”
Something came underneath me to ‘catch’ me. I landed in someone’s arms as I was twirled around by my ‘knight in shining armor’ until…..He fell with me in his arms and landed on his ass. I felt sick, but for some unknown reason, I burst into hysterical laughter. For all the crap I put Aaron in, I’m sure she’ll go missing for days with Nathan just to freak me out….Oh well.
Gabriel and I walked out of the forest only to see Nathan. “Hey Nathan?” I asked quietly. He just looked at me quizzically and asked “What?” I pushed him backwards a little bit so he was right in front of the medium pond in my back yard. “Stay,” I ordered. I knew what was coming and it was going to be funny. I positioned myself in front of Nathan so that he was barley visible, with my hands behind my back. Seconds later…
“EVA!!!!” Aaron screamed and ran at me full speed. I wonder when she’ll suspect something? Just as she was within arms length, I side stepped her and watch her run into Nathan, who grabbed her waist as she wrapped her arms round his neck, who, in turn, fell into the shallow part of the pond.
At this point in time, I was laughing hysterically. Aaron had her arms around Nathan’s neck and Nathan had his arms around Aaron’s waist. Nothing really changed from when they were falling except for the fact that they were both blushing horribly, they were both wet, Aaron happened to be wearing a white jersey, and I was leaning on someone laughing so hard that I fell….bringing the person I was leaning on down with me. “Jesus Fucking Holy Hell!” I heard James scream. “I will be the one to cause his demise,” I thought. A sharp yelp followed my thought as I suspected the man-whore was hit by his master for such use of excessive language.
