2009-03-02 [Skydancer]: The decision on rules for voting, is purely up to the person running the contest. shrugs. Official elftown contests must go by the common elftown rules, but personal contests can be anything the owner wishes.

The public has their opinion and if said photographer thinks their work is better than the others than by all right they should vote for themselves. It's just hard for me to stay out of the voting because of all of the wonderful photos I have seen -_-
