About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

Admittedly, I don't know who these two people are, but that doesn't prevent me from enjoying thise beautifully done picture. I've been informed that Iruka and Kakashi here are characters from Naruto, depicted here younger and caught up in a serenely adorable moment of cuddling. The picture itself has an impressive style, complete with vibrant colours and a unique angle. The way the two characters are placed, interacting with eachother, has a very real feel to it, and I applaud that. It's easy to put two people in a picture together, but to have them actually share the space in a way that they truly seem to be in the same room is a different story, especially if one of them is asleep.
