Elemental Darkness: New Chapters
RULES:
1. No god playing... My character may be a multiborne but she is still very uneasy about using her powers and she is a heck of a lot more comfortable within her preborn element(wind).
2. Keep swearing to a minimum.
3. Keep love scenes reasonable and tasteful.
4. Everyone controls their own characters, that means no 'instant death' cause you said they didn't move fast enough.
5. We're all borne. No elves. No dwarfs. No fairies. We are HUMAN's born with control over one of the elements.
6. No one can be Void or multiborne. Message me for details why because I don't feel like typing everything out.
In other words, it's complicated.
7. Sorry for all the rules... but in order to participate you need nice crisp and detailed posts.
Elemental Darkness Chapters - Old RP
The Call.
The dawn was approaching swiftly and the wind tore at the figure high on the cliff wall facing the sunrise. "Myrin..." Whispered a deep feminine voice, emotion making her words thick as her tears were scattered to the very wind she commanded. She couldn't believe he was dead. She couldn't believe the one she thought had been forced to wander the rifts between worlds had killed him, he had come back. "After seventeen years... why? WHY?" The clouds above her turned violently black at her scream, the wind increasing in magnitude however, Aeolynn was unmoving. Summoning up all her strength Aeolynn brought her hands to her chest, opening them above her as she called upon the gifts of the gods. Although she could not control more then two elements, they all sprang from her fingers and swirled around her briefly in the wind.
I send the call! All borne that can resist the darks, please, come to me!
The elements flew from her grasp and pierced the thick clouds above, creating a beacon only seen and felt by borne strong enough to understand this surge in power. The snow was falling thickly now and Aeolynn swayed on the edge of the cliff precariously, finally falling forward to land on a ledge twenty feet down and the snow lashed the rockface. When Aeolynn slipped beneath consciousness the storm continued in it's furosity for most of the day and slowed near the evening... covering the ledge she lay on with freezing snow, soaking her clothes.
The call had been sent.
Juliet was sitting underneath a tree when she felt this odd sensation rise inside of her, then she heard the voice. She was so surprised that she let out a gasp, and her eyes widened.
"What was that," Thayus said in surprise to the tingle running down his spine as he spun around to face a rock face not far off in the distance. He rubbed his bare arms and checked to see that his zweihander was still ready to be drawn. With a reassuring pat on his sword Thayus pulled his long brown hair from his face so that he could look up to the windblown cliff edge. Brown and gray eyes surveyed it briefly before he nodded and began to walk. As he moved Thayus began to sink slowly into the ground until he was fully buried moving quickly beneath the earth's surface.
I wonder what that was all about?
Soon Thayus arrived to the cliff ledge that the call had pulled him to. But there was nothing, save for some foot prints that led to the edge then...
Oh NO! Thayus immediately melted back into the earth and rose up onto the small outcropping that held the unconscious figure of a woman mostly covered in snow. Her lips were blue and Thayus knew that if she did not get warm soon then she would die. Thayus picked up the woman and could feel the chill in her. Thayus thought frantically for what to do then the solution dawned on him.
Thayus along with the woman melted into the earth and traveled to a small underground opening. "Sorry that I gotta do this," he said laying her down as he began to remove her soaking clothes. "Trust me, I'm just as embarrassed as you," he said again blushing slightly. After he was done removing her clothes he laid down next to her and pulled her to him. He then began to channel what heat he could from the stone around them into himself to help warm the woman. "I hope you don't get the wrong idea when you wake up," he said gritting his teeth slightly.
Her eyes roved under their lids, mumbling to herself and suddenly they opened, revealing glazed eyes, "The call..." She whispered frantically, fighting weakly against his grasp, "The call... I must send the call..." Aeolynn twitched before going still, breathing heavily, "Who... are you?" Her sage eyes were wide open, starring at the ceiling of the cave.
Thayus cleared his throat thoroughly embarrassed at the situation. "My name is Thayus, and you sent the call... I think. At least that is what drew me to were you where," he said a bit confused. "What in the world possessed you to go to a cliff edge and do... whatever it was you did," he asked a bit disbelieving. "I mean... you could have died, you're lucky I found you." Thayus shifted slightly. "Um, sorry about... uh... this miss. I had to get you warm or you would have died," he said embarrassment now very apparent in his voice.
"My name is Aeolynn..." She stifled a sob, curling up in a ball and cried into his chest, completely forgetting she was naked in his arms, "-and... Kroescolo killed my brother..."
Thayus didn't know exactly what to do so he just hugged her to himself. "I'm sorry about what happened. Is that why you sent the call? Do you need someone to kill the person that killed your brother?" he asked. He wasn't exactly comfortable with his question but didn't know what else to say. He didn't deal with this kind of stuff. It was always just him, seeing that he got fed and had work. Never had to worry about others. The call, what was it exactly? Thayus shook the question from his head and looked down to Aeolynn. "Um, would you like to wear my clothes? I can create my own... in a way," he said. Maybe she wouldn't feel so vulnerable with clothes on? And maybe he wouldn't feel like his face was about to ignite with her clothed.
Aeolynn however shivered and folded her arms to her chest, "The call... We're going to need help... Against Kroescolo," She went through a shivering fit, pressing herself against him.
Thayus laid there woodenly not moving until finally he shifted his weight a bit under Aeolynn. "Uh, we," he asked quizzically looking down to her his mind racing.
She won't pay you Thayus! So what? She's pretty. Stop that! ARGH! What am I doing here?! Keeping her warm you dimwit!
Unaware of what he was thinking, Aeolynn clutched him weakly, desperate for warmth as her skin was still cool to the touch. She had not been in this type of situation before, but at this point she wasn't shy to the fact that she knew in order to live, she needed his warmth. Her teeth chattering, "I thank you... for retrieving me..."
"You're welcome miss," he answered politely. As a mercenary he was always worried about getting paid. A few times he was stiffed but this was different. He honestly didn't care if she was going to pay him if he helped her. "So this uh.... Kroescolo. Why did he kill your brother? If you don't mind me asking that is," he said adding the last bit hurriedly.
Idiot! Wrong thing to ask right now!
Aeolynn sniffed and closed her sage eyes, fighting back the chill before she asked softly, "Do you not remember the last dark wars?"
"Well, its kind of strange. I don't... but then again I do. I 'remember' being in a large battle, but I've never been to the places that I've seen in my dreams. I also 'remember' being captured or something and being tortured for a real long time. I think I've met the Gods of the Bornes but it all seems real hazy and unclear. And I wielded a spear. It was kind of strange because whenever I touch a spear its like I just 'know' how to use it," he said trying to remember his dreams and the strange times in his life when he didn't feel quite like himself. Thayus gave a slight chuckle, "maybe it was a past life or something."
