Gauntlet is CLOSED FOR ENTRANTS
Character submission deadline: 14th July 2011.
It's time to get your creativity hat on and bring out some of your most loved and unique characters. This contest is for the many members of Elftown who enjoy a good role-play and wish to have their skills put to the test because here we will not only judge your characters profile but how the interact, adapt and generally fit into any situation we throw at you. For this contest we shall be following the plot detailed on Genesis Gauntlet Scenario, please make sure you read the page and understand the setting. :)
Moderators: [Rice], [windowframe] & [iippo]
How this works:
This contest shall be separated into different rounds, each one testing the participants ability and talent for character creation and role-play.
Round One: Character Creation In the first round you will be required to create a character using the format detailed in
Genesis Gauntlet Character Sheet and place them on a separate wiki page. Once the deadline has passed for this stage all characters will be judged on their general uniqueness, depth, suitability to setting and overall impact.
Round Two: Interview The second round will follow with an in-character interview, one of the moderators shall create a suited setting for your character to interact with. Once your interview has begun, you will have one week in which to answer up to 20 questions. Anyone answering less than 10 questions will be disqualified. It shall be judged by your ability to adapt to a situation and stay true to the character you created.
Round Three +: Group RP We shall group together players we believe will compliment each other and observe how you react in a group role-play. As with the second stage a setting and vague plot will be set but with enough room for you to evolve and not feel you character is set in stone. Moderators shall intervene at points to move the story along and provide plot devices. Participants who do not make at least ten posts will be disqualified. How many contestants reach round three will determine how many subsequent rounds there are, if any.
The Rules:
1. Do not put artwork on your character sheet. This contest is not about how well you draw or the cool pictures you found on google.
