Question, This is a wiki about how the Earth came to be, right? Riddle me this: If life comes from only other life (biogenesis) then how did life "put itself together?" If you took 1,000,000 sets of cake ingrediants and let set them down, letting the natural forces have their way with them, and let them sit for 1,000,000 years, How many of you think that a cake would result from even one of them? And the cake is far less complex than even the "autotrophic prokaryotes" that were supposedly the first life.

2005-02-12 [Fire fae]: Well your question is more Biology related but I'll discuss it anyway. You already seen to know the theory of the creation of the first life form, or am I wrong? Your question seems to be the fact that you don't belive that theory.

All we could do was explain what you already seem to know... can't change your belives.

2005-02-12 [M_Sinner]: I suppose... but then why would public schools ban the teaching of creationism asa a theory, equal with the other theories? (ummm... for anyone reading, I am in America, and they have done such things as this with education here). They seem to believe that it is not only flawless, but that there is absolutely no other possibility for other theories... is this true in other areas of the world, as well as in the US?

We learn all the theories, pointing the good aspects as well as the flaws in them. If you are as curious as you seem you should look up more info on this and compare the theories. It is just impossible to do through here, plus all the info I have is in portuguese, but will help if I can.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will study this as much as I can... but are there theories other than the Big Bang and creationism? I have only heard of these two... and been forced to learn them both... Lol. (I used to go to a private school that taught creationism).
