Hey you.

Yes, YOU, photography lover.

You joined Elftown because you're an artist in one way or another, and chances are that your art sometimes takes the form of photography. So being such a camera fanatic, by now you must know that there are tons of awesome photography competitions and events going on here on Elftown. These include member-made and ran contests including the Keyword Photography Competition, 10 Days of Photography, I'd Rather Be Naked!, Where the Apple Fell, Festivals, Portfolio Contest and much, much more!

In addition to all of those, official photography competitions are always ongoing, including the EPRM, the ECM as well as seasonal contests with photography sections such as the Elftown Halloween Competitions and others.

^{I know what you're thinking right now, and the answer is "yes," we most certainly do need yet another place to show off our fabulous photography!}

Hit me with your best SHOT! is something of a spin-off of the Keyword Photography Competition (which you should most definitely check out!). However, instead of being a competition, which implies that there will be voting or "winners", this will simply be a place to show off the work that you are MOST proud of. There will be themed categories in which to submit your best works, as well as a place in which to explain WHY the shot is your favorite.

With all of that said, let the fun begin. No need to be a professional here, all shots are welcome! There is no start or end date, so start showing off those shots!

I don't get too many water pictures living here in the city, and my trip to Texas gave great opportunity to spread my wings into other areas of subjects to photograph. This waterfall (taken at the Zoo in Waco) is sooo pretty and the shot turned out amazing! I love it!
