Personality: She is shy and soft spoken. Timid because of her blindness, there is an extreme difference between how she acts when in contact with Tune, her Noctowl than when she is by herself. Iolani has never backed down from a challenge and has succeeded even with her disability. She grew up in an isolated town far in the hills away from society and has no knowledge about what has happened.She is both naive and kind, the very interpretation of the word pure.

Appearance: Short, light blond hair, split down the middle with tiny ponytails over her ears. Iolani has very pale gray eyes and has never been able to use her sight. She stands at about 5'6" with medium caramel skin and is generally very stiff due to her blindness. There is an obvious difference when she is in connection with either Lugia or Noctowl, due to some of their physic abilities. She wears a silver sleeveless tunic with white lace along the seams, kept to her thin form by a thick sky blue ribbon. Underneath she wears black skintight pants that ends mid calf, along with thick bandages around her left arm so she will not be hurt from Tune's claws. Iolani prefers to be barefoot as shoes hinder her ability to find her way.

History: Before she was taken by Lugia, her Noctowl, Tune provided her sight. When she was born blind, as a gift to their new child, her parents received a unique wild Pokémon egg. Inside was an unhatched Hoothoot. He is a rare color mutation in the fact that his body color is black instead of brown, but he is not considered a 'shiny' Pokémon. When she was ten years old Hoothoot realized that she was truly blind and then evolved to Noctowl so that he could become her eyes. Tune has been her companion ever since. He wears a red collar with a silver bell around his neck, so she can always hear him.
