Macro Contest

2007-11-07 [sequeena_rae]: Moira, I think they mean filters/lens flares etc and painting over things. It's essentially a macro contest, not a 'let's see how pretty we can make this by painting over it ten times' contest.

[moira hawthorne], what we mean is that we do not want, for exemple, two photo's merged together, or the use of brushes etc. And a totally purple ladybird won't win either.
I don't really understand what's the problem though...

I already denied pictures in the reference wikis because they were entered in contests. Let me know if you wish to enter with them so I can remove them from the reference wikis.

2007-11-10 [Jitter]: Yes it is still her work but since it was donated for free use (as stock) on this site, I don't think they're up to be entered in a contest. It makes some weird sense to me but if you think it is unfair I could change the rule... I just find it more suitable for a stock image to remain a stock image :/ Not sure.

2007-11-10 [iippo]: I don't know, that's why I asked :) I don't really anything about image stocks, I've never done any or really looked at any stocks so I don't really know anything about them. I trust you on it :)

2007-11-10 [Cia_mar]: i think i understand the reasoning for it, because if the same contest ends up with 5 entries that all used manips of the same stock, then it would not really be fare...at least that is how i am understanding Jitter's ruling in this
