Macro Contest

The idea for this photography contest is simple: you can depict anything, as long as it's a form of macro photography. (Check Macro if you're not sure about what macro photography is)

Rules
1) You must follow the uploading art rules
2) It must be a form of macro photography (= no landscapes etc.)
3) Computer manipulation is allowed but please don't overdo it.
4) Two submissions per person are allowed

5) Have fun and promote the contest! ^____^

2007-11-10 [Jitter]: Cia aren't those picture also added in Reference pictures? Since you're offering those as free stock I don't think it's fair to enter them in a contest. I already denied pictures in the reference wikis because they were entered in contests. Let me know if you wish to enter with them so I can remove them from the reference wikis.

2007-11-10 [Jitter]: Yes it is still her work but since it was donated for free use (as stock) on this site, I don't think they're up to be entered in a contest. It makes some weird sense to me but if you think it is unfair I could change the rule... I just find it more suitable for a stock image to remain a stock image :/ Not sure.

2007-11-10 [iippo]: I don't know, that's why I asked :) I don't really anything about image stocks, I've never done any or really looked at any stocks so I don't really know anything about them. I trust you on it :)

2007-11-10 [Cia_mar]: i think i understand the reasoning for it, because if the same contest ends up with 5 entries that all used manips of the same stock, then it would not really be fare...at least that is how i am understanding Jitter's ruling in this

2007-11-10 [Jitter]: Yeah actually that's one reason I don';t think they should be allowed. About the original photographer using it though I now have asked the rest of the Reference pictures team to give an opinion :)
