"so....now what is your announment?or do I have to wait for everyone else to find out?"

"You have to wait just like everybody else. And don't think about running off to ask anybody else. I'm the only one that really knows what I'm going to say."

"make it my wedding gift.PWEASE!tell me!"Alexiel makes huge puppy dog eyes.

"I already got you a wedding gift."

"what is it?"alexiel smiles."comeon just tell me?"Alexiel paused distracted."what's my present?"

'You'll see, but I"m sure that you're going to like it."

"ok."alexiel pouts grabbing sesshomaru's arm dragging him outside to where kirara and miroku where."time to gather the guests!present time!"

"Let me guess." Kirara says. "You let it slip that she was going to enjoy her present."

Sesshoumaru shrugs. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. You'll never know for sure."

"PWEASE!give it to me!"

"I think I already know." Kirara mumbles. "You want your present that bad, Alexiel?"

"no not really.I just want to see what the ice king got me"

"Well it's a joint goft from both of us. He chose it and I refined it a bit." Kirara said. "You still want it?"

"he still chose it.it's gotten be good."alexiel grins."okok I want it."

"Fine." Sesshoumaru says. "Follow me." He begins to walk towards the village.

"coming!"Alexiel grins following on his heels.Miroku follows next to kirara."what did he get her?"

"NOt telling. It's your present too." Kirara says.

Sesshoumaru comes to a stop in front of a very nice, very new house. "Hold one a minute. We have to go in here to get it."

"ok!"alexiel smiles rocking on her feet impatiently.

Sesshoumaru goes in.

Kirara gestures for them to follow. "You have to come in, too sillies."

Miroku and alexiel follow looking around."wow...its huge..."

"Do you like it?" Kirara asks happily.

"yea!it's almost as big as sesshomaru's!"

"Then you can have it." Sessoumaru says calmly.

"what?"Both stare at him

"It's our wedding gift to you!" Kirara yells. "He commisioned it to be built and I decorated it. You really like it!?"

both were still staring at them."it's....ours?"

"Well... If you don't want it, I'm sure we could give it to someone else..."

"NO!nonono!oi want it!"alexiel jumped hugging her brother

"Why must everyone insist on hugging me?" Sesshoumaru asks no one in general.

Kirara shrugs. "You're huggable?"

"/becuase thats what people do when they're happy!"alexiel smiles hugging kirara

"Yay!" Kirara yells. "I'm huggable too!"

"I'm surrounded by idiots..." Sesshoumaru grumbles.

"only because you're one of the idiots to."Alexiel says wisely

"I am not." Sesshoumaru glares at her.

"Oh let him have his pride today. We knock him down everyday...." Kirara says.

"yea we knock him down."alexiel steps away hiding behind miroku."and he knocks you up."

Kirara glares at her. "Someday... When you least expect it... You are going to pay for that...."

"you could be,isnt that everyones wish?to see little sesshomaru's running around?"

"Not mine. One Sesshoumaru is enough." Kirara mutters.

"NOw I wouldn't say that..." Sesshoumaru says. "There can never be enough of me."

"oh yes there can.I can barely live with one of you.But with me around the kids are bound to be better then the dad."alexel grins teasingly.

"You do want to be killed." Sesshoumaru monotones.

"not really."

"Then stop insulting me..."

"I insult you everyday.You havent killed me yet."

"Just like Kirara said... when you least expect it."

Alexiel looks at him with ig puppy dog eyes."you cant kill me.You love me....right?"

"'Kill' is such a strong word." Kirara says. "I like 'maim' a lot better."

"miroku save me!"alexiel jumps into his arms and he drops her."you got yourself into this mess."

"Oh calm down." Kirara says. "We're not going to do anything to you today. That would be inhumane."

"Not to mention the fact that we should get back to the party before we're missed." Sesshoumaru reminds them.

"that's true.Lt's go."alexiel says looking at her brother cautiously."It is ok to walk in front of you isnt?"

"Why wouldn't it be?" Sesshoumaru asks.

"cause yout two are out to get me!i knwo you are!"

'I already said that we weren't going to hurt you on your wedding day. That would be mean." Kirara says.

"ok!"alexiel smiles running out the door,towards sesshomaru's castle.

miroku shook his head at the two."you are mean to her.You could at least tell you arent going to hurt her,since me you and sesshomaru know you arent."

'But then we'd loose the fear aspect." Kiara whines.

"I just feel like it." Sesshoumaru says and heads back to the party.

"Hey wait for me!' Kirara yells as she runs after him.

Miroku jogs after them staring at his wife who was running around saying hello to all the lords she hadnt talked to eariler


"You walk too fast." Kirara complains.

Sesshoumaru sighs. "You walk too slow."

"dont you two have anything better to do then complain?like make an announcement?"alexiel grins at her brother

"I'm planning to speak during dinner." Sesshoumaru says.

"well then lets go to dinner!"

"I'll mee toyu guys in the kitchen. I have to go change." Kirara says and hurries off to her room to change clothes.

"I'll go alert the kitchen staff." Sesshoumaru says and heads in the direction of the kitchen.

Twenty minutes later

all the lords stared at alexiel who was bouncing in her seat impatiently

Kirara was sitting next to her wearing a beautiful kimono and eating her food peacefully.

Sesshoumaru was completely ignoring everything and everyone in favor of his food.

When finished alexiel stared at her brother,as if willing him to make his announcment

"Alexiel, would you mind not staring at me?" Sesshoumaru asks calmly.

alexiel grins."how can I not stare at you?your to damn cute!"

"Then stare at Miroku if you want cute." Kirara says. "You did think he was cute enough to marry after all."

alexiel smiles looking at her husband,"He's sexy.there's a difference between cute and sexy.Sesshomaru is cute not sexy."

"I beg to differ." Sesshoumaru says. "Anyways..."

"ok.are you going to tell us?"alexiel smiels

"I'm going to tell everyone at the same time. I do hate repeating myself." Sesshoumaru stands up and clears his throat. "If I could have everyone's attention please."

Everyone stops eating looking up at him.Only riku continued eating...well trying to get his mom to feed him

'As you all well now this years mating season starts today. "A rousing round of cheers and whistles. "Ah yes. And I can see that you are all very excited about it." More cheers. "I also see that many of you have brought daughters, not doubt to try and ensnare some nice young man for them." Mutters of agreement. "It has come to my attention that in past years, I have been-How should I put this?- the mate of choice for many of you, whether forced or not." Giggles and scattered noises of amusement. "well I am pleased to tell you that this, while not the case in years past, I have decided to take a mate." thunderous applause. I will be announcing my choice tomorrow at the banquet. I'll be speaking to you again then." Applause breaking off into scattered, excited conversations.

"You're an idiot." Kirara mutters.

"what are you doing!?I wanna hear the rest!"alexiel pouts.\

"He just wants to see how many girls, and guys, will throw themselves at his feet between now and this time tomorrow." Kirara grumbles.

"Not exactly. I still have a few more things planned." Sesshoumaru says vaugely.

"like what?!"alexiel looked hopeful

"Like none of your business." Sesshoumaru answers.

alexiel looks sad."not nice."

"He's never nice." Kiraa says annoyed. "We should be used to it by now."

"yea..."alexiel tilts her heaad to the side."why you annoyed?"

"Phft. That is nobody's business." Kirara answers.

"I thought friends shared."Alexiel pouts

Kirara shrugs.

"fine,be annoyed.Its not like I cant guess who you're annoyed at."

"I am not annoyed at anyone." Kirara grumbles.\

Alexiel smiles looking down the table at the chattering demons."looks like they're happy."

"They probably are." Sesshoumaru says.

"You'd like that wouldn't you, you egotistical bastard." Kirara growls.

Alexiel tries not to laugh


Sesshoumaru ignores them both.

Kirara huffs and began to eat her food again.

After dinner alexiel yawns widely sighing."so tired..."

"Then maybe you should go to bed." Kirara suggests. "It looks like the party's fizzling out anyways. The really big one isn't going to start until tomorrow anyways."

"good idea."alexiel smiles getting up and kissing her brother's forehead."night."she smiles walking out.

"I think I'm going to bed, too." Kirara mutters to herself and leaves.

Sesshoumaru sighs. "What on earth have I gotten myself into this time?"

"a world of trouble?"Miroku helps out picking up riku.

"Quite possibly." Sesshoumaru answers and stands.

Miroku smiles."goodnight sesshomaru."

"Good night."

Next morning...

Alexiel rolls out of bed,and thunk lands on her ass on the floor


Kirara completely ignores the comingsunlight in order to burrow deep into the covers in an attempt to sleep longer.


In his own room Sesshoumaru wakes up and gets dressed for teh days activities.

Miroku sits up looking around the room rubbing his eyes.

Sesshoumaru walked outside to breath the fresh air.

"so you have finally decided to seattle down."the lord of the north walked towards him,stopping beside sesshomaru

Sesshoumaru chuckles. "I suppose that I shouldn't wait forever."

the lord laughs."and here I thought you didnt like your sister."

"I didn't, but grudges are getting old. Burning bridges no longer intrests me." Sesshoumaru answers.

"I see."the lord tilted his head thoughtfully."And you made sure she had a good day by getting everyone to turn up for her wedding...hmmm you do have a heart after all."

"Really? I've been told that it didn't exist by so many different people."

"yes well if you didnt have a heart you wouldnt have cared that she had people at her wedding,or looked so worried when she got into a fight,or try to calm her when she lost control.A heartless person would have just killed her at the point."

"Then I suppose I do have a heart."

"amazing."

"Funny. That's exactly what I said."

The lord laughs turning to go."just make sure someone who'd use it against you finds out.It could mean her sister's death"

"Hmmmm. I'll keep that in mind."

The lord nodded walking away

Sesshoumaru sighed and turned to go inside to get some breakfast.

Alexiel and miroku where trying to give riku a bath in the kitchen sink


"What are you two doing in my kitchen?" Sesshoumaru asks as he walks in.


Alexiel laughs looking at him swhirt mostly wet."giving riku a ath."

"Clean up anything you get dirty, and I don't think Kirara's going to appreciate wading through knee-deep water in order to get her breakfast whenever she decides to wake up." Sesshoumaru points out.

"well then you can give her breakfast in bed I'm sure she'd apprecite it."

"Or she'd burn me to a crisp for waking her up."

"could be.But then no one will miss you."Alexiel tries to look serious


"Stop lying."

"i'm not."alexiel grins up at him.


Sesshoumaru rolls his eyes and walks over to the drier area of the kitchen.

Finally the couple finishes riku's bath wrapping him in a over large fluffy towel."there starfire,all clean."alexiel smiles nuzzling riku's cheek as he yawned

"aw...." Sesshoumaru says sarcastically. "How adorable. Now, please excuse me while I vomit."

alexiel looks up glowering at her brother."are you making fun of me?"

"Perhaps."

Alexiel smiles mischivously before handing riku to miroku.She walked over to her brother throwing herarms around her brother nuzzling his cheek with her nose."oh sweet brother!I missed you so much since I saw you last!"

Sesshoumaru stiffens. "Will you let go of me?"

"fine ice princess."alexiel grins sitting down taking riku back and trying to free her hair from his tiny fist

"Call me 'princess' one more time and you won't live to regret it."

alexiel laughs,no longer taking his threats serious."okok ice prince"

"Much better."

Alexiel smiles."would you let your mate call you prince-"
"MAMA!"riku screams as she freed her hair from his hand.His parents stare at him in shock

"Hey." Sesshoumaru says amused. "It seems that he's going to be very good at interrupting you. I think I like him."

"shut up princess."alexiel grumbles smiling at her son.It was his first words.

Sesshoumaru growls. "I really am going to murder you some day, genius child or not."

"no you wont princess.You love me to much."

"Don't call me 'princess." Growl.

"princess princess princess!"alexiel laughs

Sesshoumaru sighes and moves over to the exit. "Well, I see that my company is not wanted here."

"ok I'll stop.You're companies wanted."

"Fine." Sesshoumaru stops.

Alexiel smiles pleased."good."

"...So do you have any particular reason that you want me to stay?"

"besides your joyous company?no."alexiel smiles

"Then I'm leaving." Sesshoumaru turns to go once again.


"fine ice.Go see your fire."Alexiel smiles helping riku eat.


"Ha." Sesshoumaru says sarcastically. "You think I want to become fried dog this early in the morning? You've got to be kidding me. There's something I've got to do. Distract her once she gets up, okay?"

"ok."alexiel smile."where you going?"

"Not telling." Sesshoumaru mutters.

"whatever.just make sure your back for dinner."

"Are you my mother now?"

Alexiel flinches a little,thinking of her own mother."no."

Sesshoumaru sighs. "I think I should leave now. Don't let Kirara sleep all day, though it might be better than letting her loose."

"whatever."alexiel frowned a little.

Sesshoumaru nods and leaves.

alexiel leaves miroku with riku going up to kirara's room and stops by the bed.Then pokes her.

"But I don' wanna ride the pony, daddy." Kirara mutters and rolls over.

"pony?I thought you were riding a dog..."alexiel says thoughtfully poking her."kirara sesshy said to get you up."

"Murpf." Kirara mutters something into her pillow. "To early."

"its nearly noon."

Kirara lifts her head off the pillow slightly. "Is it?"

'yep."

Kirara groans and puts her head under the pillow. "Still too early."

Alexiel pulls on her shirt."princess said not to let you sleep all day.Time to get up."

Kirara sits up slowly. "Did I just hear you call him, 'princess'?"

"yes.He's pretty and his hair's longer then mine is."

"I take it that he didn't like the nickname too much, though." Kirara said amused.

"no which is why I'm using it."

"Figures." Kirara streaches and sighs as her back pops into place. "And where is this great dog at the moment?"

"no idea."

"You let him wander off alone!?" Kirara asked. "With all those female demons probably out to rape him!"

"he's big and strong he can take care of himself."

"Fine....."

"dont let him hear you worrying about him.He'll take offense to it."

"I take offense to him worrying about me, but he doesn't seem to give a damn. He's going to have to get used to it."

Alexiel laughs."you go ahead an tell princess about that.You have any idea what he's doing today?"

"No." Kirara sighs. "He wouldn't tell me yesterday, and I didn't feel like talking to him much last night."

"that's because you were to busy kissing him to talk to him."

"Not true. I came straight here after the feast and went to bed... After breaking that wardrobe over there..." Kirara waves in the direction of the smashed wardrobe in the corner of the room. "But other than that, I didn't do anything or see anyone before falling asleep."

Alexiel stares at her."You broke the wardrobe?"

Kirara shrugged "I felt like breaking something."

"oookkk!"alexiel shrugs."go to the training room if you want to break something next time."

"I'll keep that in mind."

Alexiel smiles."well lets do something today.go into town?"

"Yeah...." Kirara thinks for a second. "Maybe I should buy a new kimono from town for the festivities tonight. The ones I got from you and the servants aren't really all that good for a party, no offense."

Alexiel shrugs."whatever.Its better then hanging around with demons for the afternoon."

"Um... technically you would be hanging out with a
demon."

Alexiel glared slightly at the girl."you know what I mean.Not the demon lords."

"Technically..... Okay I won't say it." Kirara laughed weakly. "Wouldn't want you glaring at me again."

"but you live with sesshomaru.And compared to his glares mine cant scare a rabbit."alexiel smiles getting up

"But I ignore his glares. If I got scared at every little glare he sent my way, then I'd be forced to live curcled up in a corner in the fetal posistion, now wouldn't I?"

"very true."

"Uh huh." Kirara grins,

Alexiel smiles cracking her back heading for the door."lets go see if princess is in town."

"Hmmm." Kirara stands up and heads for her closet. "If we must."

"we must."

"Fine, fine."

Alexiel waits outside for her patiently


Kirara comes out of her room fully dressed. "Where to first?"

Alexiel sighs."hmm...the open air market?"

"That would be a nice idea."

"yea...food sounds good."

Kirara laughs as her stomach rumbles. "Sure sounds like it at least."

"says the person who sleeps till noon."

Kirara shrugs. "What can I say? I'm nocturnal."

"i'm sure ice appericates that."alexiel smiles looking through the fruits at the fruit stand

'Ha ha," Kirara laughs sarcastically. "I see your sense of humor's still intact."

"I live with you and the princess.One of us have to have a sense of humor."Alexiel grins.

"You know that one day he's just going to haul back and slap you for calling him that. He might be more patient that he lets on, but he's not infinitely so."

"well then I'll keep calling him princess until he does."alexiel grins paying for the fruit smiling at the saleperson.

"I'd rather not have a broken jaw if I were you, but it's your call." Kirara steals the fruit and takes a big bite out of it.

"hey!that's mine!"Alexiel glowers."but oh well you've already bit it..."

"Mine now."

Alexiel opened her mouth to answer when a couple of children ran by pointing to her ears.They flattened against her head,unconusisly as trying to look like everyone else.

"Don't let them get to you. They've been raised by humans after all."

"yea..."alexiel shrugged."It's ok...I'm used to it."

Kirara places a hand on her shoudler. "It won't matter to them in a few years. No one in this village much minds demons anymore. See?" She waves her two tails back and forth. "No one's laughed yet, have they? It comes with living so close to the Lord's manor."

Alexiel shrugs."They only tolerate it cause it's sesshomaru. I'd hate to be on his bad side,hell I've been on his badside,ikt wasnt any fun."

"Trust me. I've been there."

"yea princess tends to rain on everyone's parade."

"That he does. That he does."

Alexiel laughs looking around."seriously though I wonder where princess dissapeared off to..."

"Who knows, who cares?" Kirara growls. "Not everything revolves around him."

"yea but I know him.He just doesnt get up and disappear in the middle of the day."

Kirara sighs. "He said he had something important to do. I guess we've got nothing better to do than to trust him."

Sighs."yea..."looks around looking for the familar silver hair.

"He's not here, Alexiel. Don't even bother looking for him. I'd be able to sense it if he were anywhere in the village."

"damn.Well is there anything else we need before we go back to the den of beasts?"

"The kimono I wanted?"

"oh yea.Lets go."alexiel smiles watching the kids run by them walking towards the clothing salewoman

"You know. Riku's going to be about their size soon. Maybe we should start taking him down here to get aquainted with the children now, so they don't get scared later."

"very true.Maybe I'll bring him down tommorow."Alexiel shrugs."he's more human then most people living at the castle."

"But that makes him no less adorable."

"very true.I can't wait to see princess with his own kids. with their luck he'd make them wear helmets and knee pads around so they didnt injure themselves."

"Very doubtful. Is it just me, or does it seem like he's not the type of person that would make a very touchy-feely I like to show my kid I care dad?"

"He's not that kind of brother.Why should having kids change a deep rooted belief?"

"Because... I dunno. I just get that impression from him."

"yea.Princess wouldn't know what a feeling was if it hit him in the head.then proceeded to dance naked in front of him."

"I'm sure he's not all that bad. We just.. agreed that we don't want kids right now. I'm sure that he's got his reasons."

"probably.HE probably has like a million and one reasons for not wanting kids."

"Maybe. Who really knows?"

"princess does."alexiel smiles picking out a light blue kimono."how about this one?"

"Hmmmm. Something a little more... flashy." Kirara sighs. "Why does everything come back to him anyway?"

Alexiedl sdmiles lookinbg through the kimono."cause he's the all powerful sesshomaru,lady of the west."

"Why do you keep making fun of him like that?"

"because I can."

"Someone's going to hear you and believe you some day, and then he's going to get really angry."

"oh well.he'll get over it."

Kirara shrugs.

"how about this one?"alexiel holds up a light pink kimono with gold trimmings.

"I love it!"

"okok so get it and we can go home."

"Fine, Ms. Impatient."

"hahaha."Alexiel rolls her eyes payng for it."I just wanna go see my own kid."

"Fine, fine." Kirara mutters as she pays for the kimono.

Alexiel laughs watching the kids play and run between everyone else in the market.

"Ready."

"good."alexiel smiles

"Sooooo... Are you going to leave Riku with a servant and enjoy the party fully or are you going to have a child hanging off you while you try and dance with your gorgeuous husband?"

"gorgeous?miroku?"Alexiel laughs."I'll probably leave ihm with a servant.Or maybe princess."

"What? You don't think your husband is gorgeous?"

"nope,cute maybe no way in hell he's gorgeous."Alexiel smiles pushing open the manor door.

"Nice to see that you have that much faith in your man's outer beauty."

"I do.But it's the inner beauty that matters."alexiel grins looking around."and with men like princess and inuyasha hanging around it's hard to see other men as beauitful."

"They do make a girl wonder if she's the one glowing anymore. I blame that damn hair of theirs."

"It has to be.Even I feel self conscious when with them."

"Men shouldn't be that pretty! It's not fair!" Pout.

"they really shouldnt.And if I was half as good looking as princess was I'd have humans bowing at my feet.as it is I have miroku,the permanant lecher."Alexiel frowns

"Eh. That's nothing. I've got to stand next to him everytime we go out in public from like now on!"

"HAHAHA!"alexiel laughs."that could be said.But we could     always make him and miroku stand side by side and me and you can stand next to each other."

"But then Miroku would get depressed. Nope, the answer is simple. We lock him in a closet forevermore."

"yea but he might enjoy that to much.ALwayas thought he was a maschoist.He might enjoy being locked up."

"It doesn't matter whether he enjoys it or not. Just so long as he doesn't glow anymore."

"very true."

"I thought you'd see it my way."

"now lets go find him to tell him that he's going to go live in a closet."

"Well, where is he, Ms. Smarty-Pants."

"hiding away coming up with new secrets to keep from us."Alexiel says wisely."PRINCESS!"

"He's not going to answer to that."

"okok.LORD SESSHOMARU!"

Somewhere down the hall Sesshoumaru sighed. "Why is it that I cannot do anything around here without someone interrupting?" He turned to the man he was talking to previously. "Remember my warning." He then turned and stalked off to confront Alexiel.

Kirara sees him comming. "Uh.... Alexiel... You might want to run because he doesn't seem to happy. Serves him right of course."

"nope.I dont fear him."Alexiel despite her words watches the lord warily.

"Yeah.... You sure don't fear him at all. And I suppose your going to tell me that your kness normally knock together like that." Kirara says sarcastically.

"What do you want, Alexiel?" Sesshoumaru asks angrily as he comes to a stop in front fo them. "I told you that I was going to be busy today."

alexiel glares at kirara smiling at her brother warily."I..uh... just wondered...where you..uh...wandered off to..."

"You interrupted me for that?" Sesshoumaru asks, surprisingly calm.

Alexiel stares at the older demon,at a lose for words and caught off guard."...uh....yea."

"Well... See you around then. I still have a few thigns to tend to." Sesshoumau walks off and disappears around the corner.

"He's gonna kill you...." Kirara says.

alexiel stares after him.".....holy hell."

'You're gonna die."

"yea.you gonna promise me to take care of miroku and riku for me."

"Sure thing. I'll even place a nice rose on your grave or something like that."

"and make sure I have a pretty headstone..."alexiel shakes her head."why was he so calm?"

"'Cause he's mad."

"damn.I have to learn how to do that."Alexiel smiles walking down the hall towards riku's room

"I'm sure he's had a lot of practice." Kirara says as she bounces along after her doomed friend.

"no wonder he's a ice princess.He's always pissy at someone."

"Mostly you."

"yea but I do that on purpose."

"And everyone else doesn't?"

"I woudlnt me surprised if they did."

"Me either."

"what do you think he's doing?"

"Beats me. I wish I knew."

Alexiel smiles picking riku up out of his crib."let's go find out."

"Do you really think he's going to tell us. We are still talking about Mr. Anal Rentetive When it Comes to Secrets?"

Alexiel smiles holding up riku."how can he say no to his nephew's cute face?"

"You'd be surprised."

"I'm already am.Seeing how I didnt get bitched at for interupting him."

"I think he's saving his rant and it's going to be twice as bad seeing as he's going to have all that time to stew..."

"damn.I knew I shouldn't piss of princess."

"Then why'd you do it?"

"Cause I like pushing his buttons."

"That's kind of like playing Russian Roulette, isn't it? You push the wrong button and BOOM game over."

"true but I like russian roulette."

"And when you come home with a bullet in your head, don't expect me to cry for you."

"I wont."Alexiel grins

"Good...."

Alexiel laughs."Okok I'll lay off the russian roulette for awhile."

"That would be a good idea... At least until Riku's a bit older."

"yea...my husband might miss me to."

"That's probably true too."

"and my brother's will.....well at least eventually."

"They'll miss you."

"yea.And hell's frozen over."

"Cool! I've always wanted to make a snowman!"

"And how on Earth is he supposed to accomplish that?"

"take a blanket out there,take you out there,and melt snow...by aactivites....hot activies."Alexiel grins

"You do realize that, contrary to popular belief, we haven't done anything yet."

"yes I know.I just like teasing you.Its funny and it pushes his buttons."

"yea well unlike him I know you wont kill me."

"You're right. There'd be no one intelligent tot alk to anymore if I killed you."

"He doesn't count. He's too buy writing papers and doing gods know what else."

Alexiel smiles walking in,"Sesshomaru!time to eat!"She yelled walking through the halls.

"Is that a safe thing to do. He seemed very angry the last time."

"he cant get angry.I'm being helpful,he'll get sick if he dont eat."

Kirara shrugs. "Or maybe he's already eaten."

"could have.But I'm still trying to be helpful."

"Fine, fine."

"Princess!"

"He's not going to respond to that and you know it."

"ok I'll be nice."Alexiel pouted."Sesshomaru!"

Sesshoumaru looks up from what he'd been reading and sighs. He gets up and makes his way towards the girls..

Alexiel smiles as he got nearer."we wanted to know if you wanted to know if you wanted to join us for lunch."

Sesshoumaru thinks for a second. "I've got time."

"Wow. I would have thought you'd be too busy again." Kirara says scathingly.

Alexiel smiles."ok.Let's go."She laughs happily walking ahead of them,stopping watching miroku help riku walk out of one of the rooms

Sesshoumaru nods and follows.

Kirara crosses her arms over her chest, but follows anyway.

when they got to the kitchen alexiel smiles,sitting down on the bench,watching her brother warily."what's wrong with you?"

"There is nothing wrong with me." Sesshoumary says calmly. "Why would there be?"

"I guess having an oversized ego doesn't count as having something wrong with you any more." Kirara adds sarcastically.

"no,that's become normal for him."alexiel smiles."you seem unnaturally...calm."

"Do I have to be constantly mad at someone?" Sesshoumaru asks.

"usually yes."

"Whatever for?"

"beacuase you're not you without being angry at something."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"I have every confidence in you.I just dont like being caught by surprise...."

"Then don't question my motives. Then you won't get any nasty surprises when I tell you what I'm really doing."

"o....k..."alexiel stared at him

"Now what did I do?" Sesshoumaru asks.

"She wasn't expecting you to be honest about it." Kirara shrugs.

Alexiel sighs."you never tell me things."

"I don't like telling other my business." Sesshoumaru states. "It shouldn't matter whether I do or not."

"very true."Alexiel smiles

"Good to see someone finally understands." Sesshoumaru says.

"hey,I always understood you,I just liked annoying you princess."Alexiel grins,drinking her water

"Mark my words, Alexiel." Sesshoumaru says. "You will pay for calling me that some day."

"ok then,warning taken.I'll call you prince."

"Better."

"Are we done agreeing yet?" Kirara asks sarcastically.

"yea,if princess is. I am."

Sesshoumaru shoots a glare in Alexiel's direction and stalks off.

"You called him princess again." Kirara points out.

"oh well.At least he's annoyed at something again."

"If I were you I'd rather not have him be annoyed at me."

"me either,but he's acting normal again."

"What is normal anyway?"

"sesshomaru."she said seriously

"There's nothing normal about him."

"yea...."

"Hey, Alexiel? Have you ever thought that maybe Miroku liked someone else at one time?"

"what?who?"Alexiel looked up at her frowning

"I'm not sayingn he does or did. I just wanted to know if you ever thought he might have."

"sometimes,yea."

"Oh."

Alexiel looked at her confused."why?"

"Just wondering."

"ok..."

Kirara shrugged.

"is this really about princess?"

"Yeah..."

"well spill it."

"I just wish I knew what he was doing. Maybe there's someone else and he's... Oh. Who knows."

"I will."Alexiel stands,stopping in the hallway,sniffing for sesshomaru before running towards where he was.

Sesshoumaru was staring blankly out a window.

Alexiel stopped beside him,tapping his shoulder."sesshomaru..."

He turned and looked at her blankly for a second before responding. "Yes?"

"whats wrong?"

"Nothing."

"seshomaru."She scowled,not believing him

"tell me.If you tell me not to tell her I wont."

"You tell her everything."

"do you remember me not telling her I was pregnant?'

"I seem to remember that she was masquerading as a cat without the ability to speak at that time."

"so we all have secrets.What's wrong bro?"She frowned worried that something really was wrong,and not just sesshy's normal angst.

"It really has nothing to do with you."

"dont care,you seem worried,and I want to help."she rested her chin on his shoulder

"It's nothing, really. I can handle it. I'm in the process of handling it."

"ok...."she sighs leaning back

"Did Kirara send you?"

She shook her head."no."

"You sure?"

"yea."

"And what would you do if I did tell you? Not saying I will, of course."

"keep it to myself."

"You won't flip out and attempt to beat someone?"

"no..."she looked at him worriedly

"Well, I know how protective you are about your friends."

She frowned."But I'm more protective of my brothers."

"Then you can rest easy knowing that it has relatively nothing to do with me."
