It took a while, but they finally found Keiko. Luckily, she had Puu. They explained why they needed him and were soon following Puu. Keiko was asked to stay behind though. In only 20 minuets, they found Yusuke and Kuwabara in a street fight. They finished off their opponents in no time. Then Kurama explained what was happening. "So what does the...'Dark'...actually do?" Yusuke asked. "It's causing those clouds. It'll cause the world to be thrown into a massive chaos." Kurama answered. "How long do we have?" Kuwabara asked. "About a week." Kurama answered. "Let's find Rika and Hiei and go!" Yusuke said. "They won't be joining us. They're too stubborn!" Botan said, unhappy. "I'm sure they'll show up soon." Yusuke said. "So where are we going, anyways?" Kuwabara asked. There was a silence as everyone looked at each other. Then the felt a powerful energy shockwave go through the city. It knocked the group down. "What was that!?" Kuwabara asked sitting up. "An energy shockwave." Kurama exclaimed, climbing to his feet. "Energy shockwave?" Kuwabara asked. "It's an..energy signature. When a large amount of demon or spirit energy is release it creates a.....back shock of energy. It's released at top speeds, but only people with spirit energy or demons can feel it. The shockwave of energy is surged throughout the area." Kurama explained, trying not to confuse Kuwabara. "We just need to follow where it came from." He continued as the others came to their feet. Kurama mapped out the direction and they were off once again.
Hiei and Rika sat on a cliff where the could see. They didn't seem the least bit interested. Hiei sat with one leg dangling over the edge, his arm rested on his other knee that was......I guess you could say it was...up. His other arm was around Rika and she was leaned up against him. Her legs dangled over the edge. They looked at a giant green beam that reached from the Dark Clouds to Forbidden Island. "If that beam caused the shockwave, who's controlling the clouds?" Hiei asked, partly to himself. "I have nooooooooooo idea...." Rika said bored. Rika cuddled more into Hiei and he wrapped his other arm around her and put his cheek on her head. "I bet the detective hasn't found the source yet." Rika said. "Let's go ahead. I want to see who's causing this." Hiei suggested looking at the beam. "That would give me a chance to get the Black Orb.....and any other rare items this...villain might have." Rika said with interest. With a moment of thought, they jumped down from the cliff and onto the beach. Then used a spell to walk an inch or two above the water.
By the time the rest of the team reached the cliff, Rika and Hiei were about a quarter of the way there. "HEY! RIKA, HIEI!" Yusuke called. All the two did was look at them over their shoulders. "Think we should go back?" Rika asked as though bored. "No..." Hiei answered turning and kept walking. "I told you they were stubborn!" Botan said. "Will you stop saying that!?" Yusuke asked. Botan sighed, "Now how are we going to get over there? Hiei and Rika are the only ones who could help us walk across the water, and my broom can't hold everyone. Taking two trips would take to long." "Maybe they left a path?" Kuwabara suggested. "I doubt it. Hiei and Rika normally don't leave magic laying around." Kurama said. "Well let's at least see." Yusuke said jumping down, the others followed. Kurama checked the edge of the water for a bit, then a light about a few inches above the water showed. "Well, it looks as though they left a trail after all." Kurama said. They started to walk on it.
Where ever they stepped a light would show. They walked carefully trying not to step off the trail. Hiei and Rika were already halfway there by that time. The wind continued to howl and the waves crashed hard against the shore. But the path they walked on prevented any waves to hit it and flattened the water underneath it. They went as fast as they could to catch up with Rika and Hiei. But by the time they reached the island, the two were gone. "Typical!" Botan said in disgust. said. "Let's not worry about them now." Kurama said. "Right." Yusuke agreed. "Right, let's find what that energy beam is then." Kuwabara said as they started running toward it. "So is that what caused the energy shockwave thing?" Yusuke asked. "I believe so." Kurama answered. Then it started to rain and the wind kicked up. The Dark Clouds hung above them. Luckily, the clouds moved so slowly, so it would take a week to reach the city. Lightning struck an thunder roared as they neared the huge, thick, beam.
Then out of nowhere, something struck Yusuke. They got in a fighting stance and finally saw a huge army of demons coming out of the beam of energy. They stood in terror. "Oh man....how do we fight this?" Kuwabara asked. "ANY WAY WE CAN!" Yusuke said running at the army. They all ran into the raid and started fighting. Botan sated back. Yusuke fired his spirit gun several times witch cleared a lot away. Kuwabara sliced the demons with his spirit sword. Kurama used his Rose Whip to slice most of them.
Then, a huge darkness flame dragon emerged, halfway out of the portal. This dragon was different from Hiei's. It's head was shaped more, square and triangular like. Big spikes drifted along it's back. It's wings didn’t even fully emerge from the beam. It's legs reached the ground and held it's big, huge, body up. It's claws were huge, though it only had three fingers. It's claws were big. It had horns rearing from it's head and it shown it's teeth. It's fangs hung out of it's mouth. It was like nothing they had ever seen. It was almost as big as a regular city building. Suddenly, Rika flew up next to it head in her fighting outfit and demon form. "DEVOURE THE DEMONS!!!" She commanded it. Then the dragon swooped down and ate the demons by the hundreds in seconds. Hiei stood on a cliff, quite a ways behind Rika and the dragon. The others retreated to the cliff. Rika watched from the air with her blood red eyes and a wicked smile as the dragon killed the demons. She had her arms crossed and hovered by her big blue phoenix wings. Then when the dragon was finished, it stood by Rika again. "Tell me my pet, are there more in the portal?" Rika asked it. The dragon let out a short, soft roar. "So why won't they come out!?" Rika asked again. The dragon let out a slightly longer roar. "AFRAID!? THE COWARDS!?" Rika yelled. The dragon snorted. "Don't worry, I'm not angry at you, Saremu. It's not your fault your so powerful." Rika said petting it with one arm, and the other on it's cheek. But the fire didn't affect her at all, and she talked to it in cutesy way.
"Don't tell me she thinks that thing is cute?" Botan questioned. "Looks that way. Just look at her." Yusuke said. Then Hiei appeared standing on the dragons head, "I still don't see how you control him." Hiei said to Rika. "It wasn't easy getting him." Rika answered. "Look at that thing! It's a giant fire ball! I don't see how they can even stand touching it!" Kuwabara said. "Well it seems Rika tamed it and told it not to hurt Hiei." Kurama explained. Rika looked at the dragon, "Do you want to stay with me or go back to the demon world?" She asked it. The dragon sort of wined and tilted it’s head a little, but not as much that Hiei would fall. "Either way the portal will close." Rika told it. The dragon closed it's eyes, smiled, and gently pushed it's head up against Rika. She laughed a bit and said, "Ok, come out." Then she grabbed Hiei's arm, and Hiei grabbed Rika's. Then she lifted him off Saremu's head. Then the dragon took two steps forward then took of into the air by it's fiery wings. He flew far as his long body stretched out of the beam. It's big spikes flew along it's back. Finally it's tail came out. It flew out toward the sea, then started turning around. Then the beam disappeared. Rika took Hiei to the cliff were the others were. But Rika fell into Hiei arms and was breathing heavily. She looked quite sickly. Her forehead was hot. "Hey, what's wrong with her?" Kuwabara asked as Hiei picked her up. "Summoning that dragon to come out of the portal that the....Dark created took her energy. This is just a side affect of using up her energy and still having Saremu out. I'll take over controlling him now." Hiei said. "So what was that demon beam?" Yusuke asked. "Just that. A portal to bring out demons." Kurama answered. "But wouldn't Koenma have detected it before it opened?" Kuwabara pointed out. "That does seem true, but the 'Dark' can open demon portals without a moments notice. Though the demons are the ones who make the choice to come to the Living World or not." Kurama answered. "So Rika kept out that dragon so he could take out large numbers of demons." Yusuke said as Saremu landed by the cliff.
