Tegi's father

Appearanse:
Taergi still has a slim body frame although he's not quite as firm in the flesh he had once been. But it's not that obvious just yet. His eyes are a shade of near orange, with very light, yellow spots in them. Looking closely, his eye-spots would match Tegis eyes almost perfectly, with the differense that Tegis eyes are brown and yellow, not orange and yellow. They both have the same dark brown hair although Taergis is much longer, reaching below his shoulders, and their nose and mouth are similiar too. That's where their likeness ends. Taergis eyes are finely almond shaped with thinner eyebrows and his face doesn't show much signs of genuine trust or loyalty. He likes to dress in green clothes since that color makes a nice contrast to his eyes and he's often seen with a slight smile playing at the corner of his lips, although it's not that often anyone knows exactly why he's smiling.


Age: 67 years


Personality:
He is a good person, deep inside. Well he likes to think so at least. He wouldn't hurt anyone just for fun, even if that means little if he see any need to manipulate, injure or even kill someone to get what he wants. But he tries to avoid killing, it's such a messy buisness. It's easier to convince them to submit to his wishes.
He has very few people he cares about but he would offer a helping hand to those few people if they were in need. Not to any cost of course, certainly not setting himself in a too bad situation, but to some extent he would give of himself and his belongings quite selflessly to aid them.


History:
Although Taergi has worked for the court quite some time, it hasn't always been that way. About twenty years ago he got the chance to prove himself but he had one problem. He had a relation with a part demon, part human woman, and even a bastard son. That would not work out, although he didn't intend to have his lover burned at a stake, especially not in front of his son, he didn't feel much remorse for it either. It had hurt more to give Tegi up, the kid was a part of him no matter how much he wished it wasn't so. He couldn't risk getting the boy killed, at least not directly. But selling him as a slave was a slightly better option. He even made sure he'd get a good start with an honest old man that wouldn't be too hard on him. He had left him a chrystal too. He wasn't quite sure why himself, it definetly wasn't so that the kid could sometime find him again, nor did he think he'd ever manage to use it properly. Afterall, he was just a bastard partbred. But he wanted to leave something for his son, nontheless.
But that was a long time ago. Fairly long.. and nothing he thought about anymore. He was too busy living his new life to reflect much over his lost family.

Job:
Treasurer of State
Taergi has always liked money, as far as he's concerned, money will get you just about anything. He rarely discuss his work much, since leaking information could be the same as leaking money, or future income. But he makes sure that everything's running as it should and that more money are coming in than out, and if he can put a bit of the excess in his own pocket, why not? That is another reason to why he doesn't talk much about it, in case anyone would want a closer look they might notice that the paperwork are not always quite perfect. But he does a good job covering up and this far noone has had any reason to suspect that they're lower on funds than they could have been.


Other:
Taergi has a similiar energy magic to what Tegi does, but except draining or sending energy, he can also move things. Small things at least. Of course he can also 'shape' the surroundings to fit his mood or even alter them completely and place people in a different setting altogether. Just shaping the mood in a room (by altering the lights and shadows etc) is fairly easy and can be done in front of a smaller crowd, while shaping the surroundings completely to make someone believe they have been transported somewhere, takes a whole lot more will and energy. Even with just one person involved it takes a large effort to keep it up more than some minutes, a quarter of an hour at most. What he can do pretty well though is appearing in peoples dreams and mess around there, since a dream world is always easier to manipulate. He likes the idea of flowing water, mist or other wet alternatives to show up in his scenery, it has alwys faschinated him how water can transform to such different states of excistense as well as insistingly dig out even the most massive rock by just steadily flowing where it wants to go, taking the stone grain by grain.

Faerie facts to remember:

The difference between faeries and humans is that faeries are eerily perfect. They tend to have very smooth skin, finely shaped faces, and graceful movements. Also, their eyes come in weird colors like purple and turquoise (depends on the family they come from, though; there's been interbreeding, even if they won't admit it). Other than that, they can be pretty much any body shape. The young tend to be more slim, but as they get older and start enjoying their wine and food a little more they get fat just like everybody else.

As a member of the court, he could be several things, but I'm thinking that he'd probably be involved with the treasury. Not sure why, just seems like that would work for him. This would basically mean that he just makes sure the government's money doesn't run out. Nothing too fancy. For an official title I suppose he could be the Treasurer of State. Just to make it sound official.

Uhm.. we'll see abut this. Faeries has magic, right? Guess he'd have some sort of energy magic.. moving materia perhaps. Don't think he uses it a whole lot, maybe to help him with paperwork.. xD Dunno. I think precision rather than strength on this one.
Kay, so, faeries have a lot of weird magic, but it is usually for precision not strength, like you just said. Since Tegi's got energy magic, it'd probably be safe to say that his dad has some form of it too. That probably wouldn't be his main magic, though (think about how Aron can light fire, but that's not what he usually does). "Glamour" is a big thing for them. Basically, it's just making illusions. Depending on how strong they are, they can make you believe you're seeing something you're not or even in a place you're not. The fae tend to rely on tricks more than force, which is why they're so dangerous to deal with.

The court:
It's like a palace, basically. xD Not much else to say there. Except instead of a bunch of bedrooms, it has more offices. But there's like..a ballroom and a dining room and stuff like that, and in the back there are bedrooms for the officials who live there. Like, the Prime Minister would live there, with his family, and then probably a few other high-ranking officials.
