About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

Not only is this colourful and slightly grotesque piece an excellent example of well done art, it is also an example of some of the great things that can happen here on Elftown! [Bonedust] and [Bratt] met here in this community, and soon after observing each other's work, they had joined forces. The colouring, a fourteen hour process, was done by [Bratt], who was impressed with [Bonedust]'s line work, which took "only" four hours. The result of these two mixing their talent is astounding, a gristly jack-in-the-box kept in a suspiciously cute container. This isn't the first jester that [Bonedust] has tried, and he says this is his attempt to make one less evil than the others. Which just makes me wonder what those look like when this one looks rather viscious as it is. Maybe it's the smiley face box...
