Quote time again!

"The sum of all human wisdom is contained in these two words: wait, and hope."

If anyone can tell me who said this, (character, book, or author) you get a cookie!
(and yes, it is paraphrased since I don't have the book in front of me and am too lazy to go find the actual quote)

Food for thought:

The truth about Satan.

Satan, as presented in the Old Testament is not exactly the Father of Lies and Grandmaster of all Evil as he is commonly portrayed by Christianity. the word hassatan is a hebrew word meaning "accuser, adversary" In the earliest references to hassatan he is not even referred to as a seperate being, simply as one of God's angels. The first mention of Satan as a distinct entity appears in the book of Job. In this book, Satan is still not the evil overlord. He is a prosecuting attorney, who tries the case of whether Job is pure and pious by doing what any good prosecuting attorney would do, by putting the pressure on Job. The first references to Satan as a figure of evil appear in the apocraliptical texts such as the book of Enoch, which are not normally included in the Bible. It should be noted that these books were written almost exclusively during the babylonian exile, and more specifically after the babylonians had been conquered by the Persians. Until this point, God had been responsible for both good and evil, life and death. The persians on the other hand had a ditheistic religion, one, the god of light and good, and the other, the god of darkness and evil. Gradually, we see the Hebrew people solving the problem inherent in monotheism by taking the evil out of their god and espousing it in a different being, sometimes called Lucifer, or Beelzebub, but most commonly referred to as Satan, because being evil, he was an adversary of humans.

Every couple of weeks we wioll explore a new quote. message me with a quote if you want to see it up here.

Oh, and if you ask me the question "what's up?" or any derivation of said question, you will most likely get a sarcastic answer.
Note: if you type a message to me, please use correct spelling and grammar. If you cannot be bothered to use proper english then do not expect that I will bother to decipher your text. If I wanted incomprehensible caracters mailed to me, I would move to the Far East without learning the basic characters of the language of the country to which I was bound.

something to think on while you peruse my page:
Ask a stupid question, you'll get a stupid answer.

The only stupid question is the one not asked.

How then, does one receive a stupid answer?
