I am currently a graduate student, which means I almost never HAVE to work but, always (even on a Saturday night) SHOULD be working. In other words, I'm never really productive and yet never really having fun. At some point in my past, I abandoned my sci-fi/fantasy roots, but have found them once again thanks to Netflix streaming. My first love is Star Trek: TNG, but I love all Trek, LOTR, and Firefly. I just started watching the new Battlestar, but I'm only a few episodes in. I like many sci-fi films as well. I have a relationship with Star Wars and it's complicated.

I haven't played video games in a while, but I love the Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, the Zelda series, and the Final Fantasies in which the characters don't look like Barbie dolls.

I stopped reading comics about two years ago, but I'm a big Superman fan, and I can't wait for the DC relaunch in September. I'm not from California originally and wish that I had a friend to buy comics with and get milkshakes on the weekend. I am cautiously optimistic about Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.
