Description:
My world of fantasy is the one in my own head, though I have read some of the writing of Roger Taylor, such as The Call of The Sword/ Hawklan chronicles (he is also my Aikido sensei), and some Stephen Donaldson (which seemed so real to me that it spooked me a bit and I had to stop reading - ha, I'm a sensitive soul).
I'm an artist/ illustrator, musician, and walk a lot in woods (and also in cities a bit). I think that if you could give a true view of the world it would be written in a language no one could understand too well. I work for an estate agents a couple of days a week, which is pretty interesting - seeing the extreme differences between types of houses - some very grand, some gloomy and small, some just weird. Clients think I'm a qualified or trained estate agent and ask me too many questions, none of which I know the answer to. By the end they either think I'm stupid or they don't trust me.
I vaguely remember going to see Star Wars when it first came out. Actually, the queues were so big the first time that my Dad and I had to give up and go home. I remember him saying to me - well done for not crying (because some of the kids around us were crying). I was 25 at the time. No, of course... I was about 5 or 6. I think I grew up with a vague feeling that life was going to be an amazing adventure and I was definitely going to be a Luke Skywalker sort of character. Working in the civil service put a dampener on that, but I've tried to steer clear of that kind of life and aim for something other than a 'normal' life (whatever that is).
