Description:
The first science fiction book I read was, Out of the Silent Planet. The next one was, Citizen of the Galaxy. I enjoyed reading books by Robert Heinlein and Issac Asimov. I can take or leave Arthur C. Clarke. The best fantasy series is the Merlin series by Mary Stewart. Loved Tolkiens books; the movies bored me. I liked the Twilight series, and Harry Potter. I read Hunger Games. I have a copy of Footfall that was signed by Niven and Pournelle. I have a copy of Interplanetary Hunter, the most ecologically incorrect science fiction book ever. It's great. Jayne Ann Krentz created the paranormal romance genre. I have all her books, except for the early McFadden books. Once, she sent me the second book in the Guinevere Jones series. I usually like David Weber's books. I usually like Eric Flint's books. I have all the Grantville Gazette's, but I don't recommend them. I don't care for Orson Scott Card, Stephen Donaldson, Steven King, David French, and other writers like them, although I have read their books. They probably don't care for my books, and they probably have never read them.
I have written at least eight books, but those I wrote before the age of 50 are lost forever, including the two I wrote when I was 13. I have also written parts of several books, which may or may not be epublished.
The books I have written and published are;
Surviving the Fog, a book that has been downloaded over 75,000 times (it's free)
Three books in a series I call, Tales of the Ragoon; including Sam's Winnings, Kate's Movie Star, and Amy's Hero. These books need editing.
A book in a series I call Mackenzie's Rock; Sarah's Spaceship Adventure. This book probably needs editing too, although I won't know for sure until I read it on my Kindle. I have also planned several other books in this series including; Julee Mackenzie and the First Officer, Jara Mackenzie Versus the Planet Marl, and Captain Mackenzie and the Last Chance Spaceship. (Do you see a pattern here?)
I have written and epublished a book titled, The Colors of Passion and Love; also needs editing. I never thought I would write a book like that, but I had a lot of fun writing it. I might ever write a sequel titled, The Thief and the Princess.
Other books I have written part of (sometimes only a few lines) include, A Princess of the Spacelanes, Growing Up, and The Governor of Arslan.
I was born in Linwood, California, in 1951, lived in Lakewood and Norwalk, where I help to invent the first skateboards. My family moved to Concord, California, in 1964, where my grades dropped from straight A's to straight C's (and an occasional D)
I used to be interested in politics but not so much now. I like to garden, listen to music, read, write, and watch sports. I have 4 LCD TV's in my man-cave. But enough about me. Who are you?
