Bad hang...
Elftown keeps getting stuck for some reason during the last weeks. The database engine is working really hard at something, but not at anything that should make it stuck.
And on top of that the restart script just isn't working even though it is tested and should work.
And emails don't work. Emails just don't get sent to people so that they can register or recover their passwords.
These are not related issues, but it's a damn shitstorm. In case of problems, you're welcome to message/post on

Elftown's Future: Cha-cha-changes
We've discussed the decline of Elftown with Hedda and he has informed us that he is quite unlikely to make any large changes to the site (such as a rewrite to the site's graphics) and he is also unwilling to allow another person to make changes as well. As such, the speculated revamp of Elftown's graphics will not be happening anytime in the foreseeable future. Both Hedda and the Council are open to suggestions on how to improve Elftown, and we'll be organizing a community effort to discuss ways to alter the site; until we do that, however, feel free to leave any thoughts about this matter on the Council page itself. We're sad to announce that we closed the Elftown
Christmas Competition of 2014 without a winner. The number of entries in poetry, art and photography are so few, that it can't be considered a 'competition'.
