"Hi there! I am Ryuuhou from 2004 and this is my Elftown house. I hope all is well in the future, and if not, at least not as bad as the movies make it seem.
I found Elftown because of a couple of lovely friends ([Gone!] & [Kitten Leath Feral]) who I met while being active at the Anime hubs of Direct Connect (DC++). I used to be an Operator in a couple of them. Having access to share between friends all these files you could find nowhere else while being part of a fun community was a highlight of my teenage years.
After a while we eventually moved onto a different anime-based forum called Gaia Online, were I met even more great people, set up an art shop and created dozens of illustrations for friends and clients alike. My account was at https://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/ryuuhou , It was a great time to share your art with others, but as with all things, everything at some point has an end.
The virtual economy was the end for Gaia Online, and friends started dispersing between multiple social media platforms, and so did I. In the end, I settled down at art-based community called Deviantart, where I could showcase my ever evolving artwork and meet like-minded people.
After multiple name changes I settled for the username Visioku. I am not constantly active at Deviantart either but I check it more often than other communities. The page is at https://www.deviantart.com/visioku
Thanks for taking a minute to stop by! Since you've taken some time to hear my story let me leave you with a bit of age-old wisdom and advice... Remember that sometimes standing still is better than running in circles, that you choose what you don't change if you can change it, that you should never give up what you want most for what you want now, that it's difficult to get someone to understand something when their salary depends on not understanding it, that mixed signals are no signals, that your phone is there for your convenience and not for other people's, that having a lot of options is only good if you know how to make good decisions, that you should discuss problems only once and after that discuss only solutions, that if someone thinks you are too much then they should go find less, that you don't really fear the unknown you only fear what you project onto it... I could go on and on and on... but before you go just know this. I hope that no matter what happens, you are still following your dreams and living your fantasy every waking day, because life is too short to second-guess yourself.
