"As Death Descends, New Birth Arises"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             Quietly slipping, fading, gone,
             The breath of life depletes by dawn.
             As the lifeless turns to dust and ashes,
             A new life springs forth at the sun's first lashes.
             With differences set, determined, defined,
             Metamorphosis of sorts, superbly refined.
             A new physical form experiences birth,
             'Til once again, it will join with the earth.
             Each being meets with fate's demise,
             Cocooning new life to spawn, give rise.

"Lady Venus, Mr. Mars?"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             Day after day, Lady Venus revolves around the sun.
             Every day she looks around for her number one.
             Then one day, as the earth slips out of sight,
             She catches a glimpse of her possible Mr. Right.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             She commands the sun to shine a special ray
             To get a better look, to place him on display.
             Ahh! A well rounded character of crimson, golden red,
             Masculinity profoundly measured, she concludes within her head.
             "Oh, if I could meet him, I wonder what would be.
             Would the universe be changed, if he dared to follow me?"
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             As he slips into the darkness, she takes a final glance.
             She is left wondering, if there is a fleeting chance.
             She continues on in her revolutionary path,
             Trying to view the angles, but hates to do the math.
             In her mind she knows, it's just a fantasy,
             Because she's the Lady Venus of this, our galaxy.
             The end of time would come and all that mattered much,
             If she and he were to meet or ever even touch.

"Beauty"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             We can find beauty in so many places.
             We can find beauty in so many faces.
             There's beauty in that the sun doth shine.
             There's beauty in the forest's, sweet smell of pine.
             A child's face, so full of wonder;
             The dancing of lightning and rolling of thunder;
             The purity of heart, of warmest intention;
             The wisdom of age, needs a mention;
             Hands that reach out to hug, to hold,
             A hurting soul, so lost from the fold;
             In the vast array of stars in the sky;
             A twinkle of happiness placed in an eye;
             The love of a mother, her children so dear,
             And the love of a lover, true and sincere.
             There's beauty in manners, thank you and please;
             In blooming flowers, a cool, summer breeze;
             The essence of hope a new life rekindles,
             As an old life fades and sadly, it dwindles.
             Yes, there's beauty in so many things,
             If we open our hearts, tune up our strings.
             Our eyesight can narrow, play on us tricks;
             Our minds can be clever, throw deceit in the mix,
             But, if we see with our hearts, let our hearts have a say,
             More beauty we'll find, down life's pathway.

"Love Is A Pretty Horrid Thing!"

             , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
             There is one conclusion
             That my mind has made.
             Love is not about the heart,
             But tis all about the spade.
             Love is supposed to be,
             A wonderfully, blessed thing,
             But to those that treat is casually,
             It has a bitter, painful ring.
             , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
             For a person to get pleasure
             From breaking another's heart,
             Is the cruelest thing to do,
             With measure off the chart.
             How can someone be,
             So conniving and so mean,
             To shatter someone's heart and spirit,
             Destroy their self esteem?
             , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
             Then the nerve, to turn around,
             And point their finger at
             The one they have devastated
             And scalded in their vat.
             Monster doesn't cover it.
             Satan would be grinning,
             But what goes around, comes around,
             And then will he be winning?
             , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,
