The Feline and the Phoenix

Prologue or back of book
A girl who has no idea who she is or where she is, will soon learn She is not as normal as she thought she was, she has lost her memory, she slowly regains it back, and enters the world again. She ends up adopting a little girl and starts to take care of her. As time goes on she remembers more and more, some things happy some sad, when she gets the memory of her car accident, she starts to slip into depression, which leads to suicidal thoughts, a girl who has no clue on what is going on she will soon learn life is the best gift there ever was.

Chapter 1
Meeting Dr. Goodwin
I wake up from my nice soft bed. I look around, a face that I have seen before walks into the room. "Good Morning" they said, "I'm Doctor Goodwin, I understand you have been here for quite some time" I looked at doctor Goodwin, I wanted to say some thing, I opened my mouth to say hello but then no sound came out. I went to go rub my eyes then I noticed my hands were no longer hands! They were paws Am I dreaming? I thought to my self. I looked at the doctor and gave him sad eyes as to ask what is going on. The doctor looked at me and said,
"If you are wondering what is going on I would like to welcome you to the world of being a Feline" Just then the doctor got down on all fours and then he transformed into a cat. At this point, I was very confused on what was going on. The doctor then turned back into a human. "You are not dreaming. Farseena this is who you are! You have always been a feline, it was just time for you to bring that side of you out and here you are. Once you get used to it you will be able to transform your body to a human and a feline, which will take a few weeks to develop." I just stared at the doctor as if he was crazy! Who was he calling Farseena, and what is all this bullshit he was talking about me being a feline? This person is crazy! "Now you might think I am crazy in time you will understand." Damn! I thought, this guy is good! He then walks over to the door "I bet you are hungry follow me and I will lead you into the dining room and tell you more about what is going on." I jump off the bed and start to follow the doctor. As I am following the doctor, I am looking all around trying to figure out where I am. Then it hit me, no something hit me. I ran into a wall. I lay there on my back just staring at the ceiling, the doctor comes back to see if I was all right, he then picked me up gently and carried me the rest of the way. While he was walking, he was stroking my head and he was talking about what was going on with me. I did not hear a word of what he was saying. I was too busy wondering where I was. Then I smelled a smell that I knew, it was one of those smells that once you smell it you would never forget it. I just could not figure out what that smell was. Then the smell was getting stronger and I now knew what it was. It was the smell of a Turkey dinner!
"Here we are" I heard the doctor say, "The dining hall, I smell turkey would you like some?" I looked at the doctor went to go say something but all that came out was
"MEOW"
"I'll take that as a yes," responded the doctor. He reached up, grabbed a plate of turkey, and brought it over to a table he set me down and then set the plate down. I started to eat and the doctor just sat there and just looked at me. I looked up and looked at him. He then asked me,
"What do you remember from 3 days ago?" Now I know you cannot talk because you are not used to your powers yet but I am going to teach you. I just looked at Dr. Goodwin. "Now, when using your powers you must be careful. They are very powerful. You must learn that when transforming into a human and back to a feline can be very tricky. You must understand that and take extra careful for the first couple of weeks." The doctor said with a serious look on his face. "When transforming into a human you must focus on being a human and think about being a human and then... BINGO! You are human same with transforming into a feline. Think about being a feline and then..." Just then right before my eyes the doctor transformed into a cat. He then transformed back into a human. "Now Farseena try to transform into a human think about being a human and..." The doctor stopped talking and just sat there and watched me. I jumped off the table and on to the floor. I thought about being human. The next thing I knew I felt a rush through out my whole body, I could feel a chill, it was as if the feline within me was ripping out of me. Once all the pain stopped, I looked around. I stood up and looked at the doctor "Farseena! You did it!" Still very confused I began to speak,
"Doctor Goodwin?"
"Yes Farseena" "What is going on with me? What is all this hoopla that you are talking about with turning into a feline and a human?"
"It has always been in you Farseena, you were born this way. You have just never let it out! Now you have, now that you are a human you can test some of your other powers."
"Dr Goodwin Please I am not powerful I have no powers this is all just a dream!" The doctor just then pinched me "Ow! What was that for?"
"You are not dreaming this is all real! Do you remember anything from the past week?" Dr Goodwin asked I thought for a moment and I then finally shook my head no. "You were in a bad car accident you found on the side of the road. You were a cat. When they first found you on the side of the road, they really did not know what to think, first they brought you to the vet, and there was nothing to do. So then, you were brought here.
"Why am I here in this hospital?"
"This place is not a hospital Farseena. It is a Mystical Creature Center. It is the only one here on the earth. You are in the best care here. You will remain here until you know how to use your powers. Now turn into a feline and follow me." I thought about being a cat and I felt the same thing i felt turning into the human form. I started to scream and out came MEEEOOOOWWWW! I did it. I went back into a cat. Dr Goodwin smiled and picked me up and carried me out of the dining hall.
