Adela's Apartment Chapter One
When you first come in to Adela's apartment the kitchen is on the left. On the right is a short hall with the master and spare bedrooms on either side of a bathroom. From there, the apartment opens up into the living room. Adela doesn't have a whole lot of furniture, just a comfortable black leather couch, a coffee table, and a small TV stand with a mid-sized TV and an XBox. The walls are decorated with replica weapons from all eras and cultures, from Spartan Hot Plates to Norse Bearded Axes. Hanging above the TV is a photo of herself at the beach with Jade and Archer in high school. Her bedroom is decorated in black and red and holds the same nondescript full size bed and dresser it did in her parents' house in high school. The spare room holds only a futon and a small desk and chair.
"It's not much," Adela said as she opened the front door, "But it's a nice little space for living on my own."
"I do belive you are correct." Archer said with a smile. "It's nice Adela. Your doing good." He brought the groceries in and placed them on the counter, and then smiled. "Want to find something on TV or net Flix while I strat this up?" Archer asked Adela as he bagan pulling out the two stakes and putting a rub on them.
"Sure, but first I'll get the charcoal started for you." she said as she opened the sliding door to the small patio. She went oitside, leaving the door open to let the ocean breeze through, "Why don't you open the kitchen window too?" she called as she poured a pile of coals into the middle of the grill and grabbed the lighter fluid.
Archer opened up the kitchen window and the air blow through the house, and he smiled as he watched Adela ready the charcoal. He made he wounder just why he was so afraid to tell her how he felt. Really felt.
Adela got the coals lit and came back inside, closing the screen. She grabbed the remote and Xbox controller and turned them on, selecting Netflix, "What do you feel like watching?" she asked, watching him work in the kitchen.
"Let's see..." Archer smiled as he worked and glanced up at Adela. "Ever watch young justice?" Archer smiled knowing it sounded nerdy and went on. "Or Oroan Host Club?" His smile grew.
"Young Justice?" she asked, "What, like the justice league?" She had a strange mental image of the Justice League characters in diapers like the baby Looney Tunes show she had watched as a young child, "I've never heard of either of them." She admitted
"Look up Young justice." Archer said with a smile. "You'll be happy you did." as he said that he finished prepping the stakes, and went to preparing the potatoes to go on the grill as well, and got to work preparing a bacon wrap for the stakes.
Adela looked up the show and selected iy, though she didn't hit play yet. She left the controller on the coffee table and went to the kitchen, "Can I help?" She asked.
"Yes." Archer smiled. "Can you weave bacon?" He asked as he was allready doing so. It was not that hard. Mostly just time consuming. "I love a bacon wrapped stake."
She smiled, "Sure." she'd never done it before but he had already started so all she had to do was follow his example, "I've never actually taken the time for it." she admitted as she washed her hands
