Making herself comfortable on a bench in the gazebo, Fawn sat cross-legged with her back to the railing, her oversized backpack sitting next to the tiny woman on the wooden seat. She was slightly hunched over, scanning a newspaper in her lap. The somewhat peculiarly-dressed lady, clad in an array of purples ranging from lavender to aubergine, and wearing what appeared to be vintage thrift store cast-offs, bobbed her head slightly to the music that could be heard blaring from her headphones, which she wore around the back of her neck.

After depositing her bags of shopping back at Jace's home and spending an hour in the empty dojo, stretching and doing her dance exercises, Madison had changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top along with her favourite sneakers, preparing for her daily run. She quickly scrapped her hair back into a high ponytail and after gulping down a large glass of water she turned and headed out onto the streets. A quick run and then I'll call Risk to let him know where I want to go tonight. She thought as she started with a slow jog before gradually picking up the pace. As she finally passed through the park thirty minutes or so later, she made a final sprint then slowed down to a stop next to the gazebo, panting heavily as she did. She grabbed for the bottle of water she had brought with her and took a long thirsty drink before sighing and looking up towards the sky with a smile.

Hearing only at first the sound of ground crunching underfoot, Fawn perked-up from studying the newspaper in her lap, and as she turned the volume down on her headphones, the woman was able to locate the source, thanks to the sound of the runner's heavy breathing. Looking askance at Madison, Fawn considered the younger woman for a moment, as if to weigh her options. Being a new arrival in Athens harbor, she hadn't actually yet seen much in the way of the seemingly sleepy town's residents. Figuring that Madison looked benign enough (even though Fawn was not what some would consider 'normal-looking', with consideration to her fashion sense), the bespectacled woman jerked a nod at the blonde, smiled pleasantly and offered a, 'What's up?'

Madison jumped slightly then turned to locate the owner of the voice, smiling only when she caught sight of Fawn. "Oh nothing, just out for a run. Enjoying this beautiful day." She said politely in answer to her question. "Are you new in town?" She asked as she took notice of the other woman's backpack.

'A lovely day, indeed,' Fawn offered, although she never understood the impulse of those individuals who like to run, and for fun, no less. 'And, yes, I'm new; just hitchhiked into town this morning,' she paused to flash an impish grin. 'Just... lookin' to see what's going on,' she paused and rattle the newspaper briefly, but then looked over her shoulder before glancing back to Madison. 'I gotta say, seems pretty sleepy 'round here, though.'

"Yes it does seem like quite a quiet little town from what I've seen so far. I only got here last night myself. Visiting my brother you see." Madison replied in a conversational tone as she moved to sit down on the steps of the gazebo, figuring she had time to stop and talk. "But it's a pleasant place, everyone's very friendly. I think you'll like it."

As Madison spoke, Fawn folded the newspaper in a sort of neat manner, but not quite, and then tucked it away in her backpack. She nodded with understanding as the other woman explained that she, too, was new to town. 'I gotcha, I gotcha. Guess you may or may not be able to tell me about a good place to eat and a good place to crash then, hmm?' Pausing, and as if just remembering her manners, she added, 'I'm, uh, Fawn, by the by,' she said, introducing herself with a quick smile and a wink.

"Madison." She replied in return with a smile and a small wave. "As for places to eat, I know there's a great little diner down the street, does really good burgers if you like that kind of thing. As for a place to sleep.." She paused and looked thoughtful. "I might actually know someone. I could get in touch with them and ask if they have rooms available if you like?"

'Good ta meet ya, Madison,' Fawn energetically responded, her voice loud and clear, perhaps even a bit louder than it needed to be in such close quarters. 'Diner sounds perfect,' she also added, although she didn't eat burgers of any variety but the vegetable kind. There would certainly be something there for her to eat at a diner, in the very least. 'I appreciate the help, but I don't, ya know, wanna interrupt your, uh, routine,' she said with a gesture in the other woman's general direction, trying to indicate that she understood that Madison seemed to be in the middle of a run. 'But I'm much obliged for any leads.'

"Oh don't worry about it, you're not interrupting anything, I was actually just finishing up." Madison replied with a reassuring smile. "If you like I could take you to meet my friend? She works down at the marina and should be on her lunch break right about now." She offered politely.

'Oh, the Marina. Sounds fancy!' Fawn noted with a lopsided smile. 'Well, if it's not too much trouble, I would appreciate any leads ya got, Madison.' With that, she petite, purple-clad woman slid off of the bench, the thick soles of her boots thunking loudly on the floor of the gazebo as her feet hit the wooden surface. 'Lead the way, ma'am!'

Madison smiled and nodded before motioning for Fawn to follow her. "This way!" She said cheerily then turned and headed for BotO The Marina.

Nodding in consent, Fawn hefted her backpack up and hopped down the stairs of the gazebo to follow Madison to BotO The Marina.
