Name – Redkia Nafariki

Race – Hauken (The Hauken are very similar to the humans. They all possess long, black hair and black or blue eyes. However, they have 2 pairs of wings in their backs. 2 large wings which they use for support while flying and a smaller pair for steering. Their wings can range in colours as those of birds, the most usual being eagle or hawk like brownish tones. (From The free spirited Hauken.) Hauken also have elf-like ears.)

Sub-race – Houk (House Houk the Hawk House, the oldest house of Kosate, the Hawks are wise individuals, though they can fight when needed, they are also good speakers. Hawks are the smallest of the current houses and their wings are dark brown and somewhat smaller than those of other haukens. (From Hauken culture.))

Appearance – Redkia is a sinewily built and lean individual with fairly dark blue eyes and black hair. However, Redkia's hair is not plain and long all over, but is cut in a mohawk. However, to go with a 182 cm tall frame, Redkia has an innocently round child-like face, small nose and big eyes. Being a fighter and soldier, Redkia is of course somewhat scarred, but doesn't have any too remarkable marks. In terms of clothing, Redkia is not picky at all and wears pretty much anything. However, light clothes are what appeal to any Hauken, and therefore Redkia's getup consists often of a simple tunic and a random lower piece. Redkia likes belts, has many of them, wears them all simultaneously and tends to carry a whole lot of small things around on them – in general some useful stuff, but for some reason Redkia has a little dice cube in a small pouch tied to the very-rarely-taken-off belt. Redkia has some fairly fancy headdress that's basically a cross between a headband and cloth jewelry.

Age – 72 (adult)

Personality – Redkia can express a wide range of emotions depending on the situation, having known to be both symphatetic and cold, caring and insensitive, patient and restless, committed and unsure. A some sort of innocence tends to always shine through whatever Redkia does, however: rarely does one stay so true to oneself, even if situations and opinions swung one this way or another. When in a favorable situation, Redkia is often fairly happy, conscientious, free and protective of teammates, but when stressed, Redkia becomes somber and cold. However, Redkia has worked to not become so uncaring at times of stress anymore and will not let stress get in the way of caring for teammates anymore. In serious situations Redkia tends to be similar – plain serious. Redkia's attention span certainly isn't the best in the world, but it doesn't cause (at least much) trouble. While Redkia used to have a very good graps of rules, things that happened in the past have effectively made Redkia a bit less strict about them – who cares about bending a few rules as long as innocents aren't hurt, right? Even then, Redkia plays by the rules if it's still convenient enough. However, Redkia has rarely had a clue about what's right or wrong whenever there are no rules. No matter what, Redkia is at most times always up for a small or big challenge.

History – Redkia, while not having lead too interesting or notable childhood or teenage, had always had some sort of knack and will for competition. Thus the young hauken's early years were spent in getting into any kind of competition, be it sport or fighting. However, Redkia always played it by the rules and revelled in the legality of the competition.
Redkia most always respected the opponents and even more so, the allies. Whenever anyone was gravely wounded and required help, Redkia would be there to take care of them in any way possible – after the fight was over, of course. Many liked this trait and came to have respect toward the happy combatant. Often Redkia and another fighter felt some attraction toward each other, but Redkia was fairly uncommitted to such things.
It happened that once Redkia was in a fighting tournament, made it to the final rounds and went up against the other up-runner in the final battle to decide championship of the tournament. The battle was intense, but eventually Redkia won by nearly killing the opponent, Thereke. Well, soon after Redkia became concerned of the condition of Thereke, starting to look after the wounded fighter. Eventually the two fell in love. They became effectively a team and took part in competitions together.
However, eventually it came to them that they could do more than compete. They could go to the army and do some serious fighting for a change. So they went to the army. That's where things started going downhill for Redkia. The army wasn't quite as nice a profession as being a freelance fighter had been, but Redkia and Thereke still thought they were doing something useful. Even their relationship came to a strange crossroad when they were in a tight spot.
They had led a small strike team against some Niphoreans stationed in a place where they weren't welcome, but they had fallen prey instead and half of their team was dead – only Redkia, Thereke and a third soldier, Reilon, were alive, and even they all were fairly badly wounded. They spent a long time together, trying to heal and get back to Hauken territory. Eventually they made it and managed to push back the Niphoreans as well, after joining up with a patrolling team. They returned home as heroes. However, a strange thing had happened as also Reilon had fallen in love with Redkia. As if that wasn't complicated enough, Thereke and Reilon were also attracted to each other. At the end of this weird triangle, Thereke and Reilon quit the army, got married, had children and moved to live a peaceful life somewhere else – leaving Redkia alone and cold.
Sad and strangely hardened, Redkia resumed a military career and became a feared and fearless squad leader. Redkia's career soared and the Hauken advanced ranks in no time. However, at a higher level, more and more was expected, and the hardships started getting to Redkia. The highest position Redkia made was commander, and while performing the duty of one, Redkia had a way of making a team do what needed to be done – one especially memorable scene was when Redkia actually bent a crowbar to illustrate some long-forgotten point to a bunch of uncooperative soldiers. The deed became a great story among the soldiers and Redkia was (and still is) dubbed the crowbar-bender. The soldiers (and particularly squad leaders) said: "If you don't do as you're told, I'm going to get Redkia here to bend it out of a crowbar for you."
While downfall was very ungraceful, it wasn't all too unexpected, as the hard-hearted Hauken fell prey to stress rather than a concrete enemy and the great fame and glory crashed down as years went by. Eventually Redkia was once again no more than a low-rank soldier, even if with a special background. As it was, Redkia started getting nostalgic and often spoke of "the good old times when I was still a commander". Once so true to rules and fairness, Redkia started bending the rules more and more and becoming unsymphatetic toward allies.
Eventually Redkia realized what was happening and decided to try once more to regain the joy in competition and fighting and feel respect toward allies and enemies alike once again. Redkia quit the army, but the reputation of the stressed-out and hard-hearted crowbar-bender wasn't a very good one at the moment. Therefore, Redkia traveled to Ki'afisal in search for fresh starts, new competition and trustable friendships.
Redkia made it to Mount Ki'afisal, met many Planetarii and made new friends. However, Redkia ended up in the middle of a war and was determined that this time stressing out wouldn't be an option.

Other – Redkia used to carry around a crowbar just because, but arriving to Ki'afisal, it was lost somewhere.
