Moonlight: Dreams & Demons pt1

October 31st
Caitlin rolled over to not one but two texts, the first was Anthony stating he had a list of fifty possible matches. The second was Gina asking if she had a plaid skirt she could borrow. Hers, had disappeared at some point in the last four months. It seems like the only people she hadn't heard from in the last couple of days was Joe and Robin. The couple next door were awake and through the thin walls she could hear them having sex.

' Anthony got a sample for you gonna drop it off with you later. ' the second text was for Gina ' No plaid but black school girl type ' Then she got up and got ready for the day. Going back to the old park to get some excersize in, possibly meet up with James ask how he was since she ran into Yun and then call Charley and Ask if Bryan couldn't make some hamburgers and fries and take it out of her paycheck before dropping it off late at the precinct before going to the house of fog for work tonight.

Once she arrived at the park it didn't take long to see James and Molly. They were sitting together her on his lap and tossing bread crumbs to ducks who ran to gobble them up. He was wearing a tee shirt and jeans and she was in a pair of tan khaki shorts and tank top. They were both smiling and laughing together, she noticed however not far off was a woman watching them and making notes on a clip board. James glanced her way once and grimaced, obviously her presence annoyed him.

After making a lap and keeping an eye on the woman she decided to get closer. "Excuse me miss? but I'm pretty sure stalking is against the law miss." She says politely to the woman taking notes. She didn't want to be intrusive but act like any other woman who might be worried about a stalker in the park. She looked sweet and innocent in her tank and short shorts. Sneakers and running shoes. HEr hair pulled up into a high pony tail but it was clear she was concerned even if it was faked something she was good at that she didn't like the fact the woman was lurking.

The woman was in a skirt and white blouse, she had black short bobbed hair and a pair of tortise shell glasses. "Actually miss I am with the department of Jobs and Family Services, here is my credentials." She flashed a identification and let Caitlin look until she was happy. Rebecca Matiland, social worker was printed with a picture of her. "Have you noticed them before here?" she pointed to James and Molly.

"Yes they often come here on his days off. I only come occasionlly we jog together sometimes. Sorry bout being rude I just... well you know how it is when you see someone lurking behind a tree with a camera and clipboard. It get's worriesome. Mind if I go talk to them. It's been a little while and it's b nice to catch up again." Cait sais with a bright smile handing the card back. She didn't like the woman, her wolves hackles raised at her spying on them like she was. and she wanted away beofre she did something not too good. Besides she wanted to tell James about the pie from Yun anyways.

"Of course, Mr. Banner knows I'm here and in what capicity. Most people wouldn't get involved, you must be very civic minded, have a good day miss." She then went back to watching James who stood and put Molly up on his shoulders and turned for the swings. The ducks, rather upset their benifactors left turned and headed for the water. Molly was waving at them and just about everyone else that passed them.

Cait smiled even though she wanted to threaten the woman and take the camera and the cpliboard and break them. She had to remain calm. For Jame's and Molly's sake. "James!" She called out with a wave joggign in their direction, ignoring the squawking of the ducks knowing she wasn't normal. Most people chalked it up to her jogging towards peopel is she ever did. "Molly!" she called to the little girl know at least Molly would get her fathers attention if his was elsewhere.

James turned and Molly giggled and waved, he seemed a little taken aback that after so long there she was. He put her intu the toddler swing and began to push her as Caitlin approached them. Molly kept saying the same couple words all together, "Hi, HI, me swing!" She heard his phone ring and noticed he pulled it out a little and pushed the button to send the call to voice mail. "Um, hi, Caitlin, how have you been?" he was trying to get some small talk going to cover his surprise.

"Really busy... I got a new apartment and moved in right away and have still been seeing my aunt Robin a lot... I work two full time jobs too. Sorry I haven't really kept up with the phone calls. Hi Molly sweety want me to push?" Caitlin asked the little girl with a kind smile. She wasn't nervous around either of them but her hair on the back of her neck was raised because of the woman watching them. "I met Officer Lee a while back... did you get the pie? I figured it would be a good peice offering." Caitlin grinned a little to show she still wasn't very good at the whole relationship thing still. But she wanted the woman to see smiles and happiness between them all.

"Um, yeah although he refused to say who it was from. Seems like you have been really busy, so I understand." Even after such a long time since he heard from her, he still found himself attracted to her. Molly giggled, "Yea, push!" her little feet kicking excitedly. James looked over and grimaced again, "Have you noticed our shadow, watching everything we do?"

"Actually I had a talk with her. I don't like how she hides and watches you. Like you are some sort of criminal." She pauses and pushes Molly gently with a smile. she wasn't sure how hard to push so she started of gently. "anyways Lee told me you were on the case of these murders from clubs. I was wondering... if you had advice or something cause... I... Well one of my jobs isn't the safest right now apparently." Caitlin says blushing softly not wanting to tell him she was a bar girl who took orders to people and especially not which one she worked at. Not with the outfit she had to wear.

Glancing down at his phone briefly before looking back up at her, "Don't go anywhere with anyone you don't know and keep in groups. I can't say much else since it is an ongoing investigation." Molly laughing, cried "Hiher!" still kicking her legs and looking up into the sky. James smiled at them and momentarily forgot about the social worker. "So, I haven't seen you around lately, but you obviously still jog regulary."

"I still don't have a car or liscense so I run to work mostly. Sometimes Gina will drive me though. Gina is a friend of mine... she keeps telling me I don't go out or have enough fun. I think I had a little too much fun early on when I first arrived though." Caitlin flashed James a bright smile before gently pushing Molly just a little higher, she didn't really trust that seat she was sitting in and was afraid the squirming little girl if pushed to high might fall out. "When Lee told me your were on the case... I... you're doing okay aren't you?" Caitlin asks awkwardly.

"If you mean, how are we doing with the insistant questions from Jobs and Family services? Horribly, that's why I am forgoing the chewing out the new leiutenant was going to give me to spend the day with Molly. You should get out and do something, I'd even be willing to suggest a couple things." He smiled back remembering their times together. James wondered inwardly which club she was working at and if he might see her.

Molly laughed louder and kept kicking her feet, then stopped and looked across the play area. "Me wanna Merry round." she shouted and pointed to the merry-go-round a little ways away. She liked the lady pushing her and talked to daddy and hoped they would go to the next toy. The social worker kept watching them and noted something on her clipboard. About that time James's phone rang again and he looked down and silenced it again.

"Shouldn't you answer that? It's alright I like staying home sometimes. It gives me room to think and... I'm not sure I'd have fun going to clubs to party and dance when... I. Well... because of my second job. Besides reading at home is relaxing when you work two full time jobs." Caitlin shrugged, she was a little worried he might get in more trouble with his boss but she stopped Molly's Swing and picked her up putting the girl on her shoulders and holding onto her legs. "You want Merry round or to go on the Merry-go-round?" She asked not wanting to let the little girl get away with the baby talk to much. She still didn't like the woman lurking and writing things down.

"Yes." Molly said, and left it at that.

"We've been over the points of the investigation, the only thing he is gonna say is that I'm a screw up. And I really don't care, she is more important than my bosses opinion of my police work." He caught up to them and smiled at Caitlin's attempt to get a straight answer from Molly. "Who says you'd need to go to clubs, I thought more about inviting you to go with us to the Griffith Park Observatory." Inside he prayed that maybe she would say yes to the idea of going out with them, at least to get rid of the social worker.

"I don't know... my days off don't usually coincide but... maybe I can ask for the day off if you can give me the date in two weeks." Caitlin said, it would give her plenty of time to go away for the full moon and be back to normal for later and deal with the demon. The demon that was getting James in trouble and killing innocent or not so innocent but harmless girls. Once getting to the toy Cait carefully put molly down and held onto her so she wouldn't run right on. "Now what ride is it you wanna go on Molly?" She asks wanting the girl to say the name properly.

"Marry-go-wound?" Molly tried wrapping her arms around Caitlin's.

James hung back a little and watched, at two Molly had somethings down and needed to work on others. Potty training was one of those things they had been working on with little success. "Well, how about you find the day and we can go. It is beautiful up there with good views and the planetarium has great shows." If he could not go to her, he'd open up time for her to come to them.

"that's right sweety now let's go wait in line. I told you james you give me a day I can ask off for in two weeks and I'll be there... By the way... what's a planitarium?" Cait asks as she let Molly lead with a little directional help from Caitlin to the line for the entrance of the merry-go-round. Caitlin didn't know what he was talking about but he was smart she knew that and he was very normal kind of. So being together sometimes was okay it's just she had to hide the fact she turned into a werewolf every month.

"It shows stars and constellations, planets even a laser light show. Molly usually falls asleep, but she likes it all the same. How about wednesday in two weeks then?" he smiled at her, hoping that was a yes. Molly reached up and took Caitlin's hand, then her daddy's and smiled at her. James was happy that Caitlin suddenly showed back up, it made him forget a little about the troubles at his door.

"It's a date. I'll ask my bosses if I can have wednesday off in two weeks and... um... where is it? cause I mean... I don't really know that either." Caitlin said with a small laugh. She hadn't learned much of the city she had scoped around where she worked and lived but was trying to keep her pressence on the low side for now. besides she still needed to meet up with Anthony later.

"Well, I figured to bring the convertible out for one last hurrah of the season. Maybe we could pick you up at Robin's if you like." he offered finding his spirits lifted quite a bit. It was suddenly their turn to ride the merry-go-round and Molly pointed at the horses and everything she thought was pretty. "I will let the ladies choose horses or seat we use." he knew better than to pick one himself. Could this be the start of something he had hoped about six months ago?

"Well how about we meet at the park. Robin's is a bit of a run for me... and I hate asking her to come get me. I think I'll take the lion beside Molly." Caitlin grinned climbing onto the larger plastic creature. She held onot the pole and had her feet where they were supposed to go. Being four Molly was old enough to not need her father holding onto her. Especially since Caitlin was right beside her and being faster then a human could catch the little girl as fast as need be.

James and Molly mounted the one beside Caitlin and waited for the ride to start. Molly, however had other ideas and started to wiggle and reach for Caitlin. "I think she'd rather ride with you, if you don't mind." he asked looking at Caitlin with a small smile. Molly really seemed to like Caitlin, although Molly wasn't any overly shy little girl. But, the speed in which she trusted and gravitated to Caitlin was record setting.

Instead of grabbing Molly Cait just hopped on behind Molly and snuggled close. "It's okay Molly I'm here. I'll protect you." Cait said softly in molly's ear giving the girl a good squeeze. She smiled back at James softly. It was the truth, she would protect them... even from a demon. Which is exactly what she was planning on doing.

The ride lurched forward and James put one hand on the side of the horse the other just beind Caitlin. He smiled back at her and had to squash the urge to touch her again. Perhaps things were making the turn for the better, a normal relationship with a girl like Caitlin. One that didn't bolt when they heard about Molly, or try to force him to choose. Molly smiled at her father and tipped her head back to look up at Caitlin and laughed.

Caitlin could smell the slight change in James. The want and need in him for her spiking a little more the longer they were together or when Molly was with Cait. Caitlin smiled back at Molly and tickled her a little while still keeping a firm grip on her to make sure she didn't fall. Cait was very careful with the young girl, while having fun with her at the same time. James she was trying to ignore the pheromone's he was letting loose, besides she had work tonight at the club and had to meet Anthony to find out about that Demon and how to kill it.

The cell phone rang again, this time it showed that Mike was calling, he needed to take this call. Tapping Caitlin on the hip he looked up to ask, "I need to take this call, could you keep her until the ride ends, please?" James flipped open the phone and hit send to answer, Mike would have to wait a second until he got clear of the ride. Molly had one hand on Caitlin's and the other clutched the pole in front of her. She giggled and grinned at the tickles feeling very safe with Caitlin.

Cait nodded with a smile. Molly seemed fine with it and she didn't mind holding the little one. In fact. she felt soothed, she felt a lot calmer playing with Molly then she had since she moved out of Robin's house. It was strange... and yet appealing. Like... well better then when she was accepted into the pack fully. Once the ride was over Cait got down and lifted Molly down very gently onto the ground. "What do you want to do next Molly?" She asks going down to the little girls level.

Molly seizing the opportunity wrapped her arms around Caitlin's neck and hugged her. "Juice?" she asked in a samll voice, knowing that she was safe with daddy's friend. Not far off she could see James talking on his phone and knew he was watching them too.

James saw them et off the ride and Molly hug Caitlin about the neck. The feeling of happiness mixed with some remorse tugged at him. Suddenly unsure how good of a father he was, Molly deserved a mother and he hadn't put much effort in finding someone. Caitlin helped him with her today, and now with the date in two weeks he felt good. "Alright, I'll see you at the staging area and suit up for tonight." Mike had advised him of their location for stake out and that he would be inside in costume to watch for the killer.

"I'd love some sweety but your Daddy is coming and I have things I have to do today. I'll see you again real soon okay?" Caitlin promises the girl softly hugging her back but a little awekwardly. After all Cait had never been around a two year old before. Having heard James's words she wondered though what all was going on tonight with the police. At any rate she really had to run to make it to Anthony's workplace to talk to him and then meet up with Gina before work. A lot of the day had gone past and she hadn't even realised it.

James came up smiling at them, "So was riding the merry-go-round with Caitlin fun, honey?" Molly released her hold and laughed as he scooped her up. "Um, what's your next stop, we are going to go take a nap then head to Uncle Mikes for dinner. Need a ride, to anyplace?" he asked feeling more relaxed. Molly looked back at Caitlin, her little blue eyes full of happy and contentment.

"I actually have.... er an appointment I'd better go alone to... you know a girl thing." Caitlin says almost accepting his offer until she realized how Anthony would take that. She'd run she didn't mind. It would give her some energy to burn off for work tonight so as to not get so worked up about everything. Caitlin couldn't resist a last tickle to Molly's neck though and a kiss to James cheek. "See you next time!" She smiles and waves before turning and running off not giving him a chance to say much in return.

It didn't take her long to arrive at Anthony's office downtown. The building was huge and had been around a long time. Upon entering the building she felt the air conditioning, turned low to hide the fact vampires were in the building. She could smell and feel the unnaturalness that prevaded everything here. "Can I help you miss?" asked the security officer at the front desk.

"Yes I need to speak with Anthony. If you could call him or something and tell him Caitlin's arrived I would really apreciate it!" Caitlin said with a big smile and a slight tilt of her head. She was in her running outfit which was tight pants and a t'shirt over a sports bra, she hadn't really expected to run into the lady watching James but Caitlin liked the feel of the airconditioning. Against her hotter then normal skin right now it felt very good.

"If you'll wait one minute please, you mean Anthony Antonacci? I'll call up." He made a phone call and spoke most likely with the secretary briefly. "Alright miss, you can take the elevator up to thirty." he instructed, giving her a smile and nod. The entire building housed more than Anthony's office, he had told her as much once. And the elevators were very quiet as they pulled her upwards.

Caitlin leaned against the wall and waited patiently. She was good at being still when needed it was another thing MArcus had taught her that she still used. But when the doors dinged and she was on the top floor she stepped off and looked around. She'd never actually been here before and the wolf in her didn't like the height but it didn't bother cait much at all. In fact she liked the view from the windows.

Seeing Anthony's office door was easy, large black double doors emblazoned not only with his name, but an amazing carved scene. His secretary looked up and smiled at her before standing. "Mr Antonacci is in a meeting that is almost over, please go in and have a seat, can I get you anything to drink or eat?" She flicked a switch and the doors opened wide for her to enter, the smells of Anthony and leather wafted from inside. The secretary smiled again and waited patiently to get her anything she wished.

"A bottle of water would be nice thank you." Caitlin said nodding her head in thanks to the woman behind the desk. She stepped in through the doors and took a good look around, why would a Vampire want the top floor, heck if she knew but she didn't really care if they were in the basement or the fortieth floor. As long as he had the information she needed.

The secretary followed her inside and got a bottle of water out of a small cooler and handed it to Caitlin. She then left and closed the doors behind her, leaving Caitlin to wait for Anthony's return. Caitlin didn't wait long she had barely sat down that he walked inside. Glancing over he shook his head and went to his desk. "Hold all my calls until my meeting is over." he instructed then pressed a button, and Caitlin could hear the doors seal shut.

"Hi Anthony nice to see you too!" Caitlin said rolling her eyes at the shake of his head, he always treated her like she was a child or something. She was already done with the bottle of water though. Best to stay hydrated and on topic. "Did you find things out about our problem?" SHe asked standing up and walking up to the desk and looking over some of the things.

"Fifty possible demons, nearly all of which aren't quite within a werewolf's realm to fight." Playfully he patted her ass, to put a point on his words and unspoken warning. "I smell child and adult male on you? Having fun finally I see. Anyway your text said you had a sample for me?" He asked wondering what she thought she found. His earlier meeting had run over and he found that conversation so boring, Caitlin at least would sometimes let him feed while she talked or they fucked.

Cailtin pulled out the sample she had taken, it was in the plastic bag still. "Here it is." She said tossing it on the desk. She growled softly at Anthony more in a playful manner then anything else. " As for my life Tony! it is mine to live. If it concerns you I'll help you by letting you know. If not do not try to invade my privacy." Caitlin says while she was fine with Anthony and his questions today she was a little touchy. Molly made her very protective of the little girl. She wondered what he would find with the effidince she had taken.

He looked askance at her and opened the baggy and took a sniff, "That is horrid and smells like ink. Very good find, it narrows the field and I'll have my people look into it." After he resealed the bag and set it aside and watched her for a few minutes. "Invade your privacy, cute considering I learn more every time I feed from you. Feeling a bit maternal today are we?" he smiled knowing the young woman as well as he did.

"I've asked you do not revisit those images and my feelings from your feedings. IF you must know... I was around a child... my instincts are high considering two days from now is the full moon. I can tell you are a little... shall we say hungry? or peekish? I want results soon on what's in that bag. I have people I don't want hurt. I will do what ever I need to do to save my new friends and protect this city. MY territory." Cait says softly as she walks to the window and without leaning up against it, twitching her hair in her pony tail away from her neck. It was an invitation. "Keep the invasion of my memories of today out of it."

"I don't pick and choose what I see Caitlin, November 9th will be here soon enough. And to be honest if you desire being close to a child either your own or someone else's you are in the wrong office." He put the bag into a small container and sent it down to the foundation. Anthony had felt for a little while that the relationship between them was a pale excuse for a life for her. And to be frank he hated the idea that she was using him and not the other way around.

"I am not close. Being close to anyone is too dangerous you know that Anthony. Only you and Robin are the people I trust and Robin tells me not to trust you... but with my lunar cycles and your promises being kept how can I not?" Caitlin states softly as she stays where she was leaning against the glass slightly but not with flesh to leave a mark. She was warm she knew that and the glass was begining to fog around where she was speaking and breathing waiting for him. "I am staking my territory against any that come... I have found new strength I didn't know I had and am learning more and more how to live with my beast. How to stay in wolf shape, or switch to the half. I know why Marcus did what he did but I'm living my own life now and I choose to let you be in it." Caitlin says tilting her head as more of an offer for him. She was waiting. For him to decide to feed or not.

He stood and moved behind her, "Do you deny that his hands and lips feel different than mine. His living flesh inside you versus mine unable to share a climax with you?" Anthony pressed his lips to her neck as his right hand rubbed her breast. Then as his fangs grew he bit into her skin and began to feed from her. Slipping his other hand inside her shorts and grazing them between her thighs.

"I do not deny... I enjoy both." Caitlin gasped as his teeth stuck into her flesh. His cold hands on her overheated body. She could feel him getting warmed by her blood and her touch. She became heated between her thighs, There was nothing like the skill of Anthony using her body to bring her to climax. She knew he could feel the pleasure or some of it that she felt especially while he was feeding it was as close to an orgasm he could feel. she didn't cry out but she did moan deeply.

He drank his fill and stroked her body to bring her to orgasm, she was a work of art. But, still he saw the morning and flashes of memories of her and the policeman enjoying shared climaxes in the maintence shed at the park and on the bluff overlooking the ocean. The soft sound of an e-mail arriving broke his concentration, more than likely the foundation had identified the demon in question. "I think your answer is at hand young Caitlin and I'm sure there must be other things you'd rather be doing." The stroking of her body continued however until she acheieved her pleasure.

Caitlin panted heavily, twice over pleasured by anthony and she needed a moment to recover, the loss of blood barely made her light headed but the sharing of that and the orgasms took a lot out of her. She leaned against his desk panting, her eyes focusing on Anthony as he moved to the chair of his desk. "Recovering is one thing. knowing the answers to my question another. But no I have no engagements until later this evening." 'And those I'd really rather not go to at all.' She thought with a huff she had gotten her breath back already and was waiting for Anthony's words.

"It is a tätoveer demon, almost literal translation is Tattooed demon." he explained after reading his e-mail. "They feed off a body, because the burn through there own so much. A priest can banish them, so you will avoid it until my men can arrive." He scanned through a couple of more pages and looked at her for her to acknowledge her understanding. His resonse e-mail informed them to recall the team faster than normal from Mexico.

"I will fight it if I must... But I understand. I'll head to a local church and get some holy water. Other then that if it does not come into my area I will leave it alone. You have my word Anthony." Caitlin said standing and adjusting her clothing. kissing his cheek softly she smiled sweetly. "I'm working halloween night shift so no time for me to hunt tonight." She says knowing he would be able to tell a lie, other then that she wanted to go home and rest up a little before dealing with Gina and the preperations.
