Greetings, and welcome to Elftown's official 'Seven Deadly Sins' Competition!

The Rules
1.
NO STEALING!!!
Images must be created by Elftowners and posted here by the original artist.
Which means, no matter how much you might like a particular image on somebody's house, you are not allowed to add it here. This includes random images from the net too. MAKE YOUR OWN DARN IMAGES, DON'T STEAL THEM AND TRY TO CLAIM THEM AS YOUR OWN! That makes us angry, very angry indeed.
Poems must be written by Elftowners and posted here by the original Author.
Which means, no matter how much you might like a particular poem on somebody's house, you are not allowed to add it here without the writer's permission. Poems also must be written in English.
In the Photography section you're required to also post some
proof of the genuineness of the submissions. Pictures that have no proof pics after the deadline will be removed.
For each photo entered, you must submit a proofphoto. Plus, if you submit an edited picture you must also add the unedited picture, unless the edit is minor, like brightness tweaks etc.
Proofphoto
To enter this contest you have to submit a
new picture combined with a proofpicture with a
sock taken during the same photoshoot.
This has two reasons:
- The proofphoto shows that the picture is yours.
- Both pictures have to be new, because we want you to make your entries especially for this theme. The picture should clearly show that you thought about the theme and how you want to reflect this.
You can't have done this before the contest, because you didn't know of it then.
Criteria:
The proofphoto must be a picture of the same scenery/enviro
nment, but it has to somehow include a sock.

2. QUALITY-ISSUES
Please put forth your best effort and the best quality, i.e.
- no drawings on lined notebook paper
- no pictures or bad scannings of your drawings
- no ancient/blurry/webcam/mobile phone photographs
- All pieces must be new, made for this contest. That means you may not submit a drawing/photo/poem you have made before this contest or one that was submitted to another (official or unofficial) contest already.
- drawings must be well shaded and/or coloured. Sketches will not be accepted.
- poems with incorrect spelling and grammar can be disqualified if they're not spellchecked/proofread until the deadline.
-If you're submiting photomanipulations in the Art section you're allowed only if you're using images that are yours. Stock photography from other sites (even if it's paid) is not allowed.
POEMS LENGTH:
Since the chosen two poems will be featured on Main Street, we wouldn't like them to be too long. Anywhere from 3-42 lines is acceptable. Be creative but please keep that in mind!
3. READ THE THEME!
Any entry that does not follow the above will be removed.
4. EACH MEMBER MAY SUBMIT ONE (1) ENTRY (per category - Art/Photo/Poetry).
5. ALL IMAGES MUST BE UPLOADED TO ELFTOWN!
To upload your image full-size you can use the feature 'Upload a folder of images' that is shown on your house.

6. SUBJECT MATTER: Since the winners will be featured on Mainstreet, images and poetry that depict graphic violence, pornography or other disturbing actions will not be accepted. Only images that fit the theme will be allowed.
Especially given the theme of the contest and the sin Lust which is always popular, please keep it civilised.

What will we be expecting?
The theme is: portray the Seven Deadly Sins! (One or Several at the same time.)
DEADLINE: 15th November 2007
Note:
10 art pieces and 10 photographs will be picked out by the Council and Assembly among all those presented. Mainstreet polls will determine the winner for each category.
Art Participants will receive a squirrel badge, and Art winners will receive a coloured version of the same (or a green/coloured Masters of Building if they are commited art donors).
Photo Participants will receive a ladybug badge, and Photography winners will receive a coloured version of the same:
Two poems will be picked out by the Council and Assembly among all those presented.
Participants will receive green worm badges, and winners will receive a coloured version of the same.
