A few hours ago today we welcomed a new addition into our home. I can't believe someone would abandon such a sweetheart, but that was their loss and our gain. Unagi (named for our favorite sushi, eel, and for his grey color) is 3 months old and one of the most affectionate cats I've ever met. What endeared us to him immediately were his half-lidded eyes, distinguished, serious expression, and playful yet loving demeanor. We almost lost him to several other interested adopters at the animal shelter, so we feel very fortunate to have him home with us.

2006-08-12 [Perplexity]: He's been playing and exploring non-stop for four hours since we brought him home. The little fella finally tuckered out and is sleeping on the floor next to a toy. =}

Remember the neighborhood kittens I told you about? I went out to the car to get my phone last night, and one of them was dead in the road. *sniffle* That's why kitties should be inside!!

2006-08-13 [Elisha Kelly]: My daughters like your kitty also... those Courtney is having a good cackle over the name :P My sweetie is a lovebug to... I spent all last night throwing her off the couch where she was trying to snuggle up to us, and because there was no room, that ment on top of us :P
