WINNERS

We would like to thank everyone for entering, and apologise for taking so long to do anything about judging. As we've not had many entries recently we have decided to announce our winners. It was a very hard choice as we had two high favourites. For different reasons we found two entries that stood out.

- Instead of drawing what they read they drew something that shows the meaning of what they read.
- I like the polar bear to swan - its a nice approach, and i like the childlike innocence and freedom portrayed by ally's.

The winners are: [ally] & [iippo] (tied), thank you once again to all who participated :D We appreciate seeing your feelings on the poem shared amongst us :)

Wrapped in a Canvas of Blank Paper

Swirling. Look at the white clouds
This is me flying! I’m so free.
Raising up past all my doubts and worries.
Watch me, watch me fly high.

Slumping to the floor, my body gives in
A last breath, a last exchange with this world
Cause I’m wrapped in a canvas of blank paper.
Closing in around me, the bright whiteness
Hiding the darkness and my fear.

Can you feel the calmness?
I’m surrounded, so safe.
Nothing can reach or harm me.
Just look at me, look at me fly.

Dancing, I can do so much now
This is the real thing, life, what I’ve waited for.
The chains have fallen clean, I’ve been set free
It’s a new sheet of paper, a new story to tell
Don’t worry you’ll hear it one day.
When we meet again.

2006-03-22 [iippo]: Phew, done. Another one of my turbo-sit-ins... All done at one go from scratch in GIMP. :3 (only took like 4 hours and one program-crash >.< )
