Dil*] - I'm certain religion does not make one more moral and in some cases it is detrimental to moral progress. I also find faith to be a disgusting concept, it's the anti-thought praise of ignorance. The creationism vs. evolution thing also bothers me quite a bit. There should be no contest between the two. They aren't equal theories.

Oh, and I find the very idea of a divine creator just a way for humans to give substance to their lives.

Mortel] You've guys got it all wrong. There is no creation. There is no god or creator up above. Heaven, hell. These things have a false meaning. When you die, you dont get transported anywhere but a cold, fresh tomb, or just get your ass flamed. God is nothing. Miracles, nothing. Its all chance. People think it's cool to have such a big, powerful man to worship for their insecurities. They think god will come and save them. And for the people I tell this to, they tell me i'm going to hell. What kind of sick, morbid god would "Banish thee to hell" for not believing in him? All you naive christians need to wake up and smell the coffee... You think that god determines who is dropped down to "Hell?" You think god says "Oh, this person sinned. Here Satan, here's another one." There is no Holy, there is no Gods. Strong Atheism.
I support it. Plus, people who believe in Christianity are fine. Atheists aren't some pack of wild anarchists who hate nature and have no morals. It's just plain silly. We've been called witches in the past for our beliefs, I mean way back then, but now look. We don't criticize you, so don't go making us look like criminals. We peacefully choose no religion.

Tickle Me Emo] Atheism makes sense. That's it. Period. There is a great deal of scientific evidence supporting theories that pertain to atheistic concepts, where there is very little evidence related to any religious claims. As Dil*, my Physics teacher, and Bill Nye the Science Guy said, "Extraordinary claims require etraordinary proof/evidence
." As far as I am aware, much evidence has been acquired that proves evolution, while none has been shown to refute it. What's more, EVOLUTION IS HAPPENING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES! Has anyone heard if Darwin's finches? Or the situation with the poisonous newts and garder snakes? There is a vast difference between scientific theory and a regular theory. If you don't know this, please ask. The ignorance is burning humanity. [Here's a bit of an edit from me: I am still a strong believer in atheism, but I'm less (how shall I put this?) extremist than I have been previously. I wouldn't say I'm an agnostic athiest, but I would be willing to admit I was wrong if something were to change. We don't know everything about this world, and it is easy to misconstrue evidence. There might be certain unexplored answers that we will discover in time, and sort of say to ourselves, "Aw, shit. So that's what that was." So yeah, I'm an atheist willing to admit to being wrong (with evidence, of course.)]
[NOOOPE] Atheism transcends the bullshit. Take religion, cut off all the out dated rubbish and/or metaphorical garbage everyone takes literally, leave the basic rules on how to be a decent human being and voila! Ethics without imaginary friends. Sanity at last. Ahhh, the purity is so satisfying.
