"Beachside: Sun & Surf!!"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Going to the beach can be loads of fun,
As long as you remember safety's number one!
Apply sunscreen often. Never swim alone.
Know the emergency number, access to a phone.
Drink lots of water, especially when you play hard.
Signs of not feeling well, do not disregard.
Keep your common sense about you in spite of any dare.
Your life is most precious and you have NONE to spare!

"Spring Is Here!"

             ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
             Ah, 'tis the season...
To listen to the birdies sing...
To look at the pretty flowers...
And the sweet aromas they bring.
             A time of rebirth...
             A time of renew...
             So what does this season...
             Bring for you?

"Fall Leaves!"

             ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
             Leaves, leaves, all around.
Watch them tumble to the ground.
Rake 'em up into a pile.
For fun that lasts for quite awhile.
Leaves of red, orange, golden yellow,
As Autumn whispers a sweet hello.
The air is crisp, fresh and cool.
Thoughts of apple cider makes one drool.
Time to visit your favorite patch,
Your pumpkin awaits for you to snatch!
             ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Have loads of fun this fall.
Always be safe, though, above all.
In a pile of leaves, never play,
That's near a road or in a driveway.
Hidden within, a motorist can't see or know,
'Cause you're covered with leaves from head to toe!

"Whoooooooo am I?"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             Can you see me,
             Swirling all around?
Ahh, but you can hear me,
As I create an eery sound.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             I can be gentle,
As I caress your skin exposed,
             But I can be ruthless,
             As I plunder, everything's disposed.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             How I love to tickle,
Play with all the stately trees.
             Usually they bend and bow,
             As I tantalize and tease.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sometimes, I like to bring along
             Friends that rough may be.
They clap, they roll, they flash.
             They rile up the sea.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             No, I am not visual.
             No, me you cannot see,
             But my actions are visible
             To a lesser, greater degree.

"W a t e r ..."

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             That which is forgiving
And so much a part of living,
             Meanders through all life
             With little twists and turns,
             Never seeking more,
             Void of desire, yearns.
             Softly flowing,
             Seeping everywhere,
             With a lack of purpose,
             Yet, with purpose beyond compare.
             Caressing all it touches,
             Gently meek and mild,
But a force to reckon with,
             Should it so be riled.
             A cradle of life
             In every new beginning.
             A keeper of all life
             Swirling, still, or spinning.
             Without its presence
             Life could never be.
             Nothing would exist,
The sky, the earth, the sea.
             The matter that does matter
To each and all of us,
             Would be lost, pointless,
             Just drifting, useless dust.

             W
                a
                   t
                     e
                        r
                            ... sustaining ...
                                                      ... life.

I was thinking how important water is in the sustainment of life.</center>

"The Tree Of Life"

             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             I am not thee tree,
But as a branch I live,
             Seeking nurturement and knowledge
For the greater good I give.
             If I do my part,
             And share what I attain,
The tree of life lives on,
             Never shall it wane.
             - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
             We are all the branches
             On the tree of life.
             If we remember this,
             There's purpose to our strife.
The more we give to others,
             The greater good will shine
             And there is no substitute
For the wholesome peace of mind.

I wrote this when I was pondering that even when our tasks seem menial & insignificant, we (they) are important to the whole.</center>
