2006-06-06 [deranged-bugosh]: hey! can I be a judge?

2006-06-06 [Blasphemy]: who is changed for good?

2006-06-06 [deranged-bugosh]: i dunno...tiffany tallett...some 16 year old from new york

2006-06-06 [Linderel]: I am not sure if it was meant to be a link to that person - since they haven't been seen in... almost a year?

2006-06-06 [Blasphemy]: oh ok

2006-06-07 [Elysian]: yeah, definitely wasn't supposed to be a link there...fixing that now.

2006-06-07 [Elysian]: Fixed. I probably typed "changed" and it automatically went to her or something. Oh well. And ashley, you can be a judge if you want, but by doing so you ban yourself from whatever contest you're judging.

2006-06-07 [Linderel]: So now the poem can be anywhere between, say, 3 and 36 lines, right? (I set that minimum at three because a) haiku are nice and b) can two lines be called a poem? Hmm, maybe. But anyway. </ramble>)

2006-06-07 [Blasphemy]: I think he wanted between 16 and 36, or maybe that is just what I percieved

2006-06-07 [Elysian]: at first I wanted 16 lines only, but then I realized that all that would do is limit ideas to a line maximum, which is counterproductive to poetry. I set an upward limit of 36 because, well, I don't really feel like wading through forty pages of poetry, as opposed to maybe twenty. And as for a minimum of lines, it can be just one, if you want; but if it's anythng less than a quartet, those one, two or three lines better be as eloquent as is humanly possible!

2006-06-07 [Linderel]: Haiku can be very eloquent indeed, if one can use that format to its full potential.

2006-06-08 [Elysian]: I agree. But some people like writing a single line of "poetry" that conveys nothing more than a random assortment of words.

2006-06-08 [deranged-bugosh]: YAY! I wanna judge!

2006-06-08 [Elysian]: I'll add you then

2006-06-08 [Blasphemy]: I entered the contest, hehe

2006-06-08 [Elysian]: Nate's our first entry

2006-06-08 [deranged-bugosh]: go figure lol

2006-06-09 [Elysian]: UPDATE: Just received Patric & Nathaniel's poems. That makes three, so anyone else participating, you have 16 days (roughly two weeks) to get them in before deadline!

2006-06-12 [Elysian]: 13 days left, kids.

2006-06-22 [Freak The Geek]: looks like this deadline comes to 3 days now

2006-06-22 [Elysian]: There are but three days left, yes. We now have four entries.

2006-06-22 [Viperess]: This looks like fun

2006-06-26 [Viperess]: Hey congratulations, your poems were awesome.

2006-06-27 [Fizban]: Thats funny, I just wrote a poem that fits these content guidelines...like, last week. Oh well it prolly wouldn't have won at all anyway XD.

2006-06-27 [Elysian]: don't be so harsh on yourself.

2006-06-27 [Freak The Geek]: Sweet didn't acctually think i'd place.  Wait.... how many people acctually entered?

2006-06-27 [Elysian]: uh...I refuse to disclose that information...*cough 5 cough*

2006-06-27 [Blasphemy]: you might as well put a seconf honorable mention lol, so we know the other title, just give em the props for entering lol

2006-06-27 [Elysian]: I could, but that would take effort on my part.  oh, fine I'll do it.

2006-06-27 [Freak The Geek]: hazzah!

2006-06-27 [DeadSockMonster]: Only five entered? Five? Pah! I must advertise the wiki! More poems! Mmm!
