2007-02-06 [xido]: I'm talking about adding new fantasy races (which Hedda doesn't want to do...) So I chose adding 'Clans' of Fantasy Races... Plus, what if I want to be a Dragon instead of a Duck? Ducks have a choice, but Dragons don't... So I am working on that. ;)

Suggestions from he-who-cannot-mind-his-own-business:
- Name a specific Dwarven Clan that you wish to represent on the Dwarfin Clans Council, ie. in Irrundanil, it is the tribal council of the Ruundan Clan that decides the major decisions of that clan, and the Clan Leader represents the Clan when meeting with ALL of the Dwarfin Clans. (Also, this will mean that your Clan can easily step down from total leadership when a Council Member steps in and takes precedence. Elftown Council gets first dibs on all decisions made in this regard. Even I must step down from the Draconic Clan as Clan Leader if someone from the Council decides that they are a Dragon. :/ At least, that is how I envision it.

Dwarven Great Hall = Dwarfin Clan RP Hall
Dwarven Gathering Halls
Dwarven Training Area = Dwarfin Clan Tactical Unit (focus on groups of people instead of new locations)
Dwarven Private Chambers = member list(s)

  Hill Dwarf Clan
  Deep Dwarf Clan (Derro)
  Mountain Dwarf Clan (Ruundan)
  Duergar Dwarf Clan

A couple of choices there:
- A Guild RPG page (see the Guild Home for what I mean about that)
- A Clans advertising group (definitely a tactical move)
- A group about Dwarfins, for dwarves & all dwarf-kin, and people interested in making the Dwarf and Dwarven Races better. Be prepared for diversity, if it comes in. Do you have any issues giving up governing decision if a Council member walks in and asks you to be Vice Clan Leader (2, 3, or even more moves down the chain if that many join the Dwarves)??

You're doing great, bud. That's why I trust you with big pages like this. Do you have ownership of it right now?

2007-02-14 [Kim_Lundin]: A group for advertising would be good, but more members are needed to make that a good one.
The RPG I figured would take place in the Great Hall (Dwarfin Clan RP Hall), as soon as I got that finished, that is.
Vice Clan Leader is a good position for me, if a Council member want to be at the top, that way I can still have a say but I can put the blame on someone else if I want to :D

No, no, keep ownership. I just wanted to make sure that was the case... This project is going to be multi-faceted, not something I could put together all by myself. I will definitely let others take the lead on their own separate Clans... I just want to make a good example with one, so that it is more obvious what the Clan is all about. You're doing great, Kim.

Suggestion: search for some Elftown Graphics until you have some artists who will make some art for your Clan.

I have told [Torr-maat], a master Psion, about the Duergar Dwarf Clan because of his interest in them. I am not sure if there will be a limit on how many Clans a person can belong to until some further decisions are made on the idea by ET Council. ;)

Do I have your interest in this, at least? ;)

2007-02-19 [Kim_Lundin]: Well, in my oppinion, gnomes are closer related to dwarves than halflings, so I could certainly add a link here. Don't know if I have the time to WORK on a gnome clans, got to keep track on the measly twenty-four hours a day I have (how I wish I could add a couple more hours).

2007-02-20 [xido]: No, that's fine. I just want to have it all organized for when someone DOES come in and throw a fit about not having gnomes in one of the Clans as a choice.
