2008-09-08 [moira hawthorne]: ok.... two thoughts in opposite directions...
a... wouldnt gay with be preferred over intersex?
and
b... considering a human famale birthin a centaur colt... I can only say... OUCH!
2008-09-08 [Linn Scarlett]: a. not really, why? I can see why minotaurs rather have a girl with breasts instead of udders... I am sure the same goes for centaurs. They are half human after all, and mythology 'says so' :3
b. why not? they're greek. Some virgin had sex with a bull who was really zeus and gave birth to the minotaurus. That worked. So why not XD
2008-09-09 [Hedda]: The centaur is of course very small when it's newborn, and the human head is probably still the hardest thing to press out. They just grow a little longer than humans.
Because of our head, we're actually all born "premature" before our brains are ready. That's why kinds can't walk, for example. And no one remembers the first part of one's life. So the premature born horse-half is of course not big either.
2008-09-09 [moira hawthorne]: I may ask... if you have ever helped deliver a foal or calf?
2008-09-09 [Hedda]: No, you may not.
2008-09-09 [Linn Scarlett]: Hm interesting point you make there Hedda, I suppose you are right. The head is still the biggest part to come pass. As a baby horse body would be in proportion to the baby-human half, and even tinier than a usual foal. Also, the little hooves are still covered in a skinlike membrane to keep it from hurting the mother. So basically, the babe would just have a longer body and limbs but that's about it. *ponders*
2008-09-10 [rinkydink]: But would it drop earlier than normal human babies because of the length?
And as for the mating, who said it wasn't a twisted female that went after the centaur? She'd make a killing on the internet video sales.
2008-09-10 [rinkydink]: ick.
2008-09-10 [Linn Scarlett]: The slight thing where it states that the centaurs like to get drunk and raid villages for pwetteh gals and carry them off for orgies in the forest they probably don't survive (the girls, that is) Geh I can see the youtube.com rates skyrocketing here...
2008-09-11 [jaraden]: very provocative work here.. very well done i must say!!! loving it.. and i gotta admit, i'm a bit jealous, cause i suck at faries!!!! goood job though and an amazing collection of works by any standard!!! congrates!!!
2008-09-11 [Lothuriel]: These drawings are amazing!!!
2008-09-11 [jaraden]: they are..amazing.. far beyond my critique i must say.. though i do love positively critiqueing (spelt wrong i think) peoples art while aslo getting critiques for my own.. sadly i've got very little in the way of art to display.. not like this indevidual (also splet wrong), it's just too bad the images weren't all larger, be a feast for the eyes i don't mind telling you!!
big ups for the artsit!! they deserve all the praise they get!!!!
2008-09-11 [Daisy le Fleur]: Wow, amazing indeed.. very nice!
2008-09-11 [Doomedraptor]: Thanks everyone! I guess I'll have to look into doing some centaur art! (didn't realize there was such an intrest in them)
2008-09-11 [Linn Scarlett]: You just happened to bump into one or two that particularly like them *has fond mental images of a centaur with faerie wings* Hm, could be interesting if you do that ;)
2008-09-12 [haseo terror of death]: indeed it would be.
2008-09-12 [jaraden]: i honestly don't know wether a cross between a faerie and centaure would work anatomicaly... but the image would be sweet!!
look forward to seeing your new works!!!
take care!
2008-09-12 [jaraden]: indeed mom, and i don't know how balanced a centaur would be with wings.. they'd have to be enormous, or situated at the very base of teh humanoids back at the point where it merges with the horses... hmmmm... don't know if that would work anatomicly.. but hell, it's called fantasy for a reason i suppose..
still i don't know about you guys but i would still love to see something of that nature!!!
take it easy!!
seb
2008-09-12 [moira hawthorne]: what about two sets of wings? like some insects or helicopters
one set at the 'human' shoulders and the larger ones at the 'horse' shoulders
2008-09-12 [Linn Scarlett]: I think the human-horse joint is the best location, sides, centaurs dont work anatomically to begin with :p it is absolutely impossible for a creature to have two chests because of the intestine balance and the amount of empty space versus stomach/lungs/
