ECM Elf Art Voting

2008-12-18 [Paul Doyle]: This poll really REALLY could use some publicity, in my opinion. We're on a website called Elftown and this contest poll is about elves, who are loved by many and tolerated by pretty much everyone on this site. It's not like this is a contest poll about neo-otyughs (though that would be kind of cool . . . )

To this end, I recently double-diary spammed this poll. <blog:1059129> I'm just one person. Maybe other people could do something similar to advertise/promote this poll (and maybe the entire ECM as well?) It would be a real shame if a contest poll about elves flopped on a website called Elftown!

2008-12-18 [Yuriona]: I'm hoping it will be displayed on Mainstreet as a news item but I may have to remind the ECM crew about it. ^^

2008-12-19 [Artsieladie]: I realise this isn't getting much attention, as the other 2 aren't either that are running for the elf photo and the fairy photo. This is why when I put up a news item for the winners of the ECM Phoenix (<news:[ECM Phoenix@wiki] Winners & [Reviews@wiki] Feature!>), I included in it the polls that were open for voting hoping that more would/could be made aware. But it wasn't continued. I also mentioned something about an alarm in the forum, but the alarm has been pretty busy lately. I have the polls that are open on the Mainstreet Calendar and I even keep changing the dates, to keep them up pretty near the top. Otherwise they show up too far down and I think many people are reluctant to bother scrolling too far down. I suspected this too, Cali, with the poll page idea, but also if we don't opt for this alternative, heaven only knows how long they would have to wait for a Mainstreet Poll spot. It will just take longer to get the final results, I guess. -shrugs-

2008-12-19 [Yuriona]: To be honest I was surprised that the ECM elf voting didn't get it's own news item when it opened. I never even noticed it lumped in with all the other contest announcements. I'm certain I wasn't the only one who missed it. ;)
