2004-03-30 [Aradon Templar]: i guess... i mean, you gotta know the conjugation for stuff, and the odd cases, or it sounds weird... the grammar is important when you're learning a foreign language, but its kinda natural if it is your own language...

2004-03-30 [Aradon Templar]: lol every verb has an infinitive form (gehen= to go)... to make it useable with the subject "I" (or ich), the 'en' ending is dropped and an 'e' usually replaces it... that change, along with all the others for different subjects, are conjugations..

2004-03-31 [Ocean Soul]: Well yu can´t really compare english and german because english is so much easier. Example for go/gehen: I go, you go, he/she/it goes, we go, you go, they go. But it´s: Ich gehe, du gehst, er/sie/es geht, wir gehen, ihr geht, sie gehen. And of course the thing with the/der die das. I´m happy that german is my own language, I would hate to have to learn it ;-)

But if you want to hear something really hard, in finnish we have 15 cases to each noun... I mean like A house is: Talo, but then you can say it with these cases: Talo, talot,talon, talolta talolle...

I mean If you take the word dog, it's koira in finnish. Then, depends about the form, you say it in the sentences with some of these ways: Koira, koiran, koiraksi, koiralle, koiralla, koiralta, koiraan,koiras
2004-04-05 [Elmiira]: You meen the forms which we use with the substantive words? Yeah, I think they are pretty hard for foreigners... I mean, let's take the word 'dog', it's 'koira' in finnish. But wen you speak, you use it with these forms, depends about what is the sentence: Koiran,koiraa, koiraksi, koiralle, koiralla, koiralta, koiraan, koirassa, koirasta, koiratta, koirineen... there is not all, I just can't figure out all of them right now. And there was only the unit ones, then there is also the plural ones...

But that's not bad, It's bad that we see the toy only few seconds before we have to tell about it, and we can't plan anything about our story before we have to start...

2004-04-08 [Tu Moneo]: wow, is that 5 seperate classes, or like a german 3 class you've taken more than once? Since I'm 16 I still cant do college, but at the high school our spanish class only has three years, and there isn't any german. I dont know about everyboy else but you seem lucky to me. :)
