[Lady of Lore]

"The Wonders of Nature"

Dawn breaking over
Foam covered waves,
Rolling in and out
In their endless
Battle of tug-of-war.

Soft smooth sand
Littered with shells
And bits of life
Washed up from
The paradise down below.

The gentle sound of
Rain pattering on
The clear glass
Of my window,
Renewing the thirsty world.

The powerful rumbling
Of thunder,
And the flash of
Blinding lightning
Illuminating the sky
In their furious dance.

The fresh morning breeze
With the sun breaking
Over the rim of the world,
Lighting the rippling
Lush green hills.

The sun is shining
In bright shafts
Through the foliage
Of the forest
Flashing brightly by me,
For the briefest
of passing moments;
casting dancing patterns
and flickering shadows.

The Fall air,
Crisp and cool to breathe,
As the dazzling array of
Bright cherry blossoms
Fluttering and twirling
Gracefully in the wind,
Falling like soft summer’s
Rain in sheets of color.

All of nature’s wonder
I can see before me,
When I simply close my eyes
And travel in my memories
Limited by nothing
Free by all world,
To travel anywhere
On this world or not,
Anywhere I wish.

The wonders of the world
Are glowing all around,
If only we just notice them
We can truly live.

"My Beautiful Grandmother"

Beauty is as Beauty does,
My Grandma use to say!
Then she would smile,
Beneath furrowed brow as I went out to play.

When I was just a little girl, and I was sad,
She would always give a hug,
With cozy arms, she would comfort me,
And I felt warm and snug!

When I was caught in sudden rain,
While walking home from school,
She would meet me with a parasol,
And a jacket, if it was cool!

And if I had bad dreams at night,
She would hold me, in those great big loving arms!
Her love was all around me,
And I was safe from harm!

True beauty is an inward thing,
Not just restricted to the young or old,
A pretty face is nothing much,
When the inner heart is cold!

Beauty is a Beauty does,
My Grandma use to say!
Looks will fade as we grow old,
It is the love that stays!

[Linderel]

'Treasure'

Shy mouth
curving in
the faintest of smiles
that begins to spread

until eyes not only
twinkle
but shine with laughter

rare sight
a touch of happiness

[Linderel]

'Verse of longing'

Come hither. See; it is a lovely day
to sit in shade, enjoy the gentle breeze;
in thy sweet-lipped melodies to drown, sway
that bliss I would my constant ache appease

Honeyed whispers my pleading lips to balm;
thy graceful steps a sight mine eyes to bless.
I yearn: Embrace thy lithe body, so warm
This evening I will have no more, no less

thou beauteous bird of mine, my dearest
Calliope queen of hearts, of their breaking
My words they flow though naught will quench my thirst
I covet thy smiles they leave me shaking

A flower, born of desire, each petal
by one thy tender skin will caress, touch.

"The most beatuiful rose in the garden"

You are like a rose,
That had just opened up today,
Lets out It's beauty to the world,
And takes my breath away.

In this world it is like a garden,
And you are the most beautiful flower there,
A perfect rose,
That gets the most care.

You stand out from everything else,
And I see your beauty within,
Curse the days that I must wait,
To see my love again.

Your beauty is so amazing,
You are the reason for living,
Your beauty is the greatest,
And let it keep giving.

[Artsieladie]

"Beauty"

We can find beauty in so many places.
We can find beauty in so many faces.
There's beauty in that the sun doth shine.
There's beauty in the forest's, sweet smell of pine.
A child's face, so full of wonder;
The dancing of lightning and rolling of thunder;
The purity of heart, of warmest intention;
The wisdom of age, needs a mention;
Hands that reach out to hug, to hold,
A hurting soul, so lost from the fold;
In the vast array of stars in the sky;
A twinkle of happiness placed in an eye;
The love of a mother, her children so dear,
And the love of a lover, true and sincere.
There's beauty in manners, thank you and please;
In blooming flowers, a cool, summer breeze;
The essence of hope a new life rekindles,
As an old life fades and sadly, it dwindles.
Yes, there's beauty in so many things,
If we open our hearts, tune up our strings.
Our eyesight can narrow, play on us tricks;
Our minds can be clever, throw deceit in the mix,
But, if we see with our hearts, let our hearts have a say,
More beauty we'll find, down life's pathway.

[Doormat]

"Meaningless"

I love your bag; I love your hair,
I simply love how you just stare,
I like the way you walk and talk,
It’s lovely I have someone else to stalk,
I love writing poetry; I love constant clichés,
Repetition will bother me to my last of days,
I love to hate; you hate my love,
All it takes is a little shove…
I hate this constant use of the phrase,
I love my hypocrisy’s ability to amaze,
I love how your sanity is careening,
I love how this has lost all meaning.

[Artsieladie]

"A Beautiful Dream..."

There I was in a land so far away,
A land quite different, yet familiar, I'd say.
The stranger I met smiled at me,
A kindness about him I could see.
As we stood on the threshold of his humble abode,
A yearning within me began to implode.
He motioned to me to step inside.
No fear arose, at his request I complied.

The surroundings were plain in a slight disarray,
My presence felt wanted in a subliminal way.
He fluently spoke in my native tongue.
I devoured his wisdom. To his words I clung.
He beckoned me sit, a warm drink in his hand.
His eyes were entrancing, his wish, my command.
I doubt if he knew, my heart was a flutter,
Or a touch of his hand would melt me like butter.
My voice was lost, though I craved to speak.
My knees were trembling, a true sign of weak.
He gave a quick, life history of him,
Smiled a smile that vanquished all dim.
Then he came close, reached out for my hand,
Asked me to come, but how could I stand?
I allowed his hand to slip into mine,
His clasp was a strong, yet, gentle entwine.
He led me around and showed me his place,
Then he turned, looked, directly in my face.
With his own, trembling hands, he caressed my hair,
Arranged it to suit him and proceeded to stare.
Frozen, but limp, yet boiling within,
My heartbeat drowning out the sound of a pin.
He cradled my face in his sweaty, cool hands.
I knew I was lost to all his demands.
His eyes grew soft, yet filled with desire,
As his lips met mine, already on fire.
Just a light teasing, caressing at first,
Not nearly enough to quench our thirst.
The taste of each other's longing revealed,
Igniting a passion no longer concealed.

Here's where I awoke, I'm sorry to say.
How I'd like to go back and continue, replay.
Dreams can be beautiful, leave us impressed.
Expose what we long for, our desire undressed.

"The Gazebo"

I ameliorate these tears of your broken spirit
An aspiration that only plunged you into a lagoon of calamity
That let the disappointment surface like it does all too often
In this forsaken world of broken dreams
The eventide approaches silently and inevitably
Yet the rays of goldenrod, ruby and a blaze of titian
Illuminate the forthcoming azure starlight
I take your hand, kissing your fingertips lightly
My lips brushing against them like an auntumn breeze
We walk abreast to one another, our bodies gently touching
Our destination edges closer as we move in synch with one another
A place of mythical enchantment that seems so unreal and nonexisitent
We are ensorcelled in the glory and majesty of the structures all around us
And captivated with the soft hearted deer quietly
Munching on crisp crimson leaves that reside on the ground.
They run in dismay when they realize our presence
And disappear into the deep and thickly coated woodlands.

Dusk has adjusted and has now come to stay for a while
It is only you and I as we follow the starcase up to the gazebo
The gazebo extends ceremoniously among the rolling hills
The shimmering river is reflected by the setting sunlight
That has almost vanished to return again at first blush.
My lips grace yours in a heartfelt and longing embrace
Everything else fades away and your the only one in my view
We gaze up at the horizon off in the distance
As I lay serenely in your welcoming arms
They are my shelter from the dark and the evils the make themselves known.
Gently you kiss my cheek as I run my fingers through your hair
I am filled with so much affection and devotion
With passion and ardency racing through my veins
Lost in a heat of fervency our lips meet intensely
A fire is ignited as we cling tightly to one another
Surrounded bu the glory of such a magical place
My heart is racing and bounding like a gong
The fire continues to burn
Time is frozen

The heat dies down and we gaze at the twilight
The moon ignites the sky with a white light
As the stars dance and twinkle among it
Bliss and contentment fill my heart
As I am forever laying with you under our gazebo

"Severance From Beauty; Psyche‘s Liberation"

I stare into her deep blue eyes
And wipe a lonely tear off her cheek.
The skin is warm to touch and wet
Her lips are quivering and weak.
I smile and kiss her forehead
Just to hear her laugh once more
But she looks at empty bottles
Littering the hardwood floor.
She cries into my shoulder
And I hold her to my chest
I lift her feeble body
And I lay her down to rest.
I sit in silence by her side
And keep a watchful eye
For any sign of agony
Or frightened nightmare cry.
And by her side, I'll always lie
A mother there to pacify

Her eyes, now pale, long for a tear
A beauty like I’ve never seen
The graceful legs that ran through fields
Now grind and fall like an old machine
Translucent skin exposes broken veins
That cream white silk had once veiled
I begin to cry at her derelict state
With the certain sensation that I have failed.
I had always called her Psyche
For her touching, golden glow
And as her life slips away
I feel the striking presence go.
Her small, unmoving body
Still is pressed against my heart
And I scream in desperation
Knowing we will always be apart
And by her side, I’ll always lie
A mother there to pacify

By her side, I’ll always lie

[Kaimee]

"Stealing the Day"

I walked home in the hot, heavy twilight, and watched the night ascend the sky, as dark climbed shyly above the streetlights and the sounds of dinner reached out from the windows I passed.
Framed perfectly on the horizon at the end of the street, between the big old bark-streaked gums, which glowed hot in the evening, a hugely crimson circle spun itself out of the ground, and shimmered up heavily into the dusk born stars.
I stood there, moonstruck and still, and watched the night settle over the dry sighing grasses, and steal all the day from the world.

[Grandamelf]

"Where Beauty Resides"

As the morning sun chases the clouds away,
A streak of light awakens the day!
Excitment fills the weary heart,
Giving the mind a brand new start!
Who would know a fresh beginning,
Would give such joy and sense of winning!
Beauty resides in joyous living,
The secret lies in loving and giving!

[Chetleon]

"The Night"

They say it is there again,
Dark fruit of lust in the tree--
“I should take it for what it is
and because it is not mine”
Says the Hunter who has
sought out the tree far longer--
--than me.

But the hooves of this urchin--
The wing in the curve of the neck
Hide--black and sweat covered.
Mine, for the ride.
And the night will cave in,
Not the night, the Night--
And they, but THEM--
The Guardians of the secret
They will answer the testament.

And it will be retribution,
And it will all be done on
That night.

“It was mine once,
but it is now gone from me”
said some great teacher,
at some great gathering,
at some place or time.
“--And someday It will be there again,
where I left it in the shade”

It is theirs, was
But the hooves of this urchin,
It’s bloodshot glare--I grab the mane
And hold dearly,
Black mare that is mine for the day.

Great pasture that we ride in,
I will tame, I will tame, will tame--
This beast, then this land, then the soullessness,
Solid relief in the rain
This relic will be mine, someday in the night.

But the hooves of this urchin,
Glorious frame and skin,
Slim figure on the back of
The demon, it is mine for today.

"Sunning On The Back Porch"

Warm, alive and so very bright,
that my squinting has me seeing thin,
the sun's heat beating down; sultry,
on my parched, bronzed skin.

My skin, parched and bronzed on
long, torrid days; sunlight streaming so fair,
while dogwood and dandelion
float lazily through the summer air.

Lazily, through the summer air, float
my thoughts, my fantasies and dreams.
With eyes closed, I think of oceans,
clear skies, waterfalls and streams.

Beautiful skies and streams of clear waterfalls
dazzle me, dancing and filled with light.
My soul revels in the surrounding greenery;
so alive, warm and so very bright.

[Artsieladie]

"The Beauty Of Passion, The Art Of Love!"

The arms of love,
Each other entwined,
The beauty of passion
In rapture defined.
The kissing, the touch,
Each soulful embrace,
Expressions of pleasure
Written on each face.
As the taste of honey,
Drips from their lips,
In intricate detail
Trembling fingertips,
Trace the contours
Of each other's domain,
As the ultimate builds
To border insane.
Separate entities
Unite in the heat,
As ecstasy engulfs,
The union's complete!

[FlowerGirl21]

"Beauty in motion"

A single glance,
The lightest touch,
And I sigh in ecstacy
Your grace,
Your smile,
Sedating me.

I look at you, and wonder why,
As in a miracle,
How it is you came into my life.
You lift me up, your arms secure,
A freedom momentarily,
A Warmth so sure, I can’t deny.

You move me,
Make me strife beyond my dreams,
Sometimes, you help me forget,
Nothing is what it seems.

Such beauty in motion,
A fluttering feel,
Losing track of time and space,
Lost in what is real.

You move me,
Beyond imagining,
Gentle, Peaceful,
Like the ocean beckoning.

A sigh is torture,
Sound is hell,
Then you are there,
Gently taking hold of me.
And all is well.

I forget to love
I forget to be
I forget myself
I lose my own identity.

Like death
You are silence
Like life
You flow and bend
Like love
You are strong and secure
Like hate
You’ll last until the end

[Kaeirdwyn]

"Music"

Music fills my soul.
Trumpets blare,
drums roll.
My eternal flame
blazes at the sounds
of beauty so intense,
that it hurts,
and words do not
describe the heartache
this thing called music
can give me.

[Kaeirdwyn]

LITTLE,
SMALL AND TINY.
COLD AS THE WINTER GRASS.
EACH A DIFFERENT SHAPE OF BEAUTY,
SNOWFLAKE.
