About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

Sometimes I swear I can feel the heat coming off of this one. Simple as it is, [Reynom] has created a very beautiful image of a dragon with this piece. The simplicity almost adds to the beauty, actually. In addition to being quite easy on the eyes, this picture also puts to use effective shadow effects and colour use. Naturally, I have to comment on the wings, looking gorgeous as they seem to scortched like glowing embers in a fire...
