Language Suggestions / Current Languages

This is the list of languages spoken by Elftowners. To suggest a new language, please add it to the end of the suggestions so the Mayor will notice it. Once you've added it, he will decide if it should become a selectable language and in that case place it in the alphabetical list.

You can also add a note which members speak the language, so [Hedda] can see how great the demand is.

2004-08-05 [Augury]: i know of people who speak Al Bhed. even though it's also a code.

2004-08-05 [Kurou Kiriyama]: I speak Al Bhed....Me and my friend only use Al Bhed IRL...

2004-08-05 [Augury]: cool.

2004-08-05 [og_ghost]: I would like to include Japanese. I know it's listed already, but I'd like to cast my vote on that. I know there are the different writing styles but we could at least include romaji... although, I personally would like to be able to use hiragana here, katakana and kanji would work too... I don't really recommend kanji, though... 7,000 characters.... hm.

2004-08-05 [og_ghost]: OH, GOD NO!!! Somebody suggested leet. I would like to cast a vote against that. 1337 $|_|><()|2z.... |\/|4J()|_Y....... I think I've made my point.

2004-08-05 [Cati Stormweaver]: I know a laguage called Illsyndran, i dont know many to speak it though, but a a certian language that dragons speak in....

2004-08-05 [Cati Stormweaver]: Zhi ta elo deigo shaken! (example of Illsyndran...)

2004-08-05 [digimatt]: i am sure theres another language they r missing cant rember what its called though,

2004-08-06 [Ocean Dreaming]: Can we please seperate the rejected languages from the accepted ones? Also, there IS no bloody 'Limburgs'. EVERYONE speaks a different dialect. Even if you're only what? Ten kilometres apart? In any case - there is no one 'Limburgs'. Add that and you'll get people selecting that and writing to each other in a completely different dialect, with as result a lot of stupid language reports for us to sort through because 'they really don't speak that language'.

2004-08-07 [kemo_hero]: ar u added arabic languagh

2004-08-07 [BinaryPhoenix]: My vote on the Afrikaans!

2004-08-07 [Deleted user]: when is the black speesh to use?

2005-03-20 [..Nightmare..]: Do you know what should be on here >.< British Slang for those of us on here who dont know what the heck their talking about half the time >.<

2005-04-09 [Janouk]: I've been thinking about this some time ago, but forgot: Can I add Morse (Code)? It isn't a spoken language like stated above, but so isn't sign language and I think I'm not the only one of the thousand on ET who can use Morse. ^^ :: http://www.babbage.demon.co.uk/morseabc.html

2005-07-18 [Desire.]: Go Tagalog! Salamat po.

2005-12-06 [Paz]: I'm happy to see Japnese on the list but translating that in charcter form would take awhile @_@ Although, I'm up to the task. Also, no kanji... to confusing. I cast my vote for hiragana or romaji if we can translate to Japanese, I'll be glad to assist

2005-12-06 [Paz]: We should translate elftown into Massachusetts/Boston speak and see how many people can undertsnad it ;) lol, just kidding

2006-05-05 [fire-tiger]: Wanner gaan julle Afrikaans opsit??? Dit sal meer Suid Afrikaanse mense lok

2006-06-06 [Hedda]: [Janouk]: No, it makes no sense to add it. You will not use that language to communicate on Elftown.

2006-08-22 [fire-tiger]: I disagree totally...

2006-11-11 [Stephen]: Capitalized some things. :)
