I love fantasy, immersing myself in a world based on illusion and imagination, much like the realms of our slumber. Elven archers, in particular, and anything Celtic, Medieval, and dark, I also love.
I enjoy roleplaying and learning new words. I read through dictionaries on a daily basis, always trying to find one word I've never used, and in my room you will find seven dictionaries, three of foreign language.
I find foreign languages to be incredibly fascinating. I speak English fluently but I've taken Spanish, Korean, and French classes, respectively. I'm currently self-teaching Gaelic (Irish), though I would also like to learn Latin later on in life. German and Greek would be nice, next, if I learned the previous two languages. I've also got my eye on Dutch, though that can wait, and I'm re-learning sign language.
I plan to visit Ireland several years down the road. That might happen after college, to which I would like to study Art or Web Design. A friend of mine dreams of going to Japan, to check up on the anime there and, if possible, I'd join her.
My favorite medium is acrylic paints but I rarely get the patience to sit down and paint anything decent. I commonly use colored pencils with an artist's sketch pen or watercolor pencils. I take a fancy to rough sketches and so find ball point pens to be an interesting choice. Lately I've been trying to draw in pencil more, though, because it allows room for improvement.
Other than art I enjoy writing. I write poetry mainly but when I get the time and opportunity I work on short stories. Maybe in the future I'll have my writing spot in Elfwood. Currently, I also have a diary at Woohu.com. My username there is Talithe.
I find pleasure in wasting my time building new websites, working with layouts, and learning HTML/CSS. As of now I have over twenty, but few are ever updated. My ultimate goal would have to be creating one main website to post everything from my other sites without it being too crowded or unorganized. I am hoping to learn PHP for this dreamy website.
I'm surprised you've gotten this far. Well, if you haven't gathered from various sources yet, I am an anime artist in particular. I'm retracting my offer to do art trades or draw anything for others until I can get hold of a scanner.. unless you want a commissioned piece and then I could just mail you the drawing. Yep, I trust you will pay when I send the commissioned piece..
