Crimson Night

Deep blue sky of velvet night.
Cold white sparkles of distant light.
Lifting Heads; sleek with fur;
Glowing eyes alive for Her.
Hear the creatures calling, calling.
Into darkness you'll start falling.
Watched over by the Harvest Moon.
The Hunt begins! Start running soon!
Here they come; so sleek and fast.
Red blood spills; you scream your last.
Soft and cruel; the creature's bite.
This day is known as Crimson Night.

Ache No More

I can't sleep.
Not from the crying.
Not from not eating.
I can't sleep because I ache.
I ache for you.
I can't sleep because I will never forget.
The memories won't die.
They won't even fade.
I love you forever & a day.
But I will be strong.
Your love remains.
I will walk forward today.
I will ache no more.

Someday

a different view, a different view,
everything looks so fresh and new,
stagnant ideas fall away like flies,
and suddenly i see through the lies,
trapped again by harlot eyes,
i remember, i remember my past life,
fell again into the hole,
i realize that i'm not whole,
but here again, i'm the bull,
and push and push, i WILL be full,
someday, someday

Meant to Be

All at once, your words reach my ears
Those three little syllables weaving through the air
Entangling me before I can deny
What it is you think you feel.
And bitterness erupts, and guilt enfolds,
And every bit of goodness is smothered with the cold
Because for every time your gaze finds mine,
I can't seem to return the emotion I see in those eyes.
And it's just you and I in the starlight tonight
But I'm not the one-- this isn't right.
I can't give you the love you need, you deserve,
Any more than a fish can take to the air.
You're simply much too precious
To belong to someone as false as me,
No matter how much I wish it were meant to be.
