^{[NEW-ish!] September 15, 2009 - NOX OBSCURA CANCELLED!}
^{Darnit! Darnit darnit darnit! Finally there is a first real steampunk event in the Netherlands, and then it gets cancelled! The organization of Nox Obscura announced today that the ticket sales of their event did not meet their expectations and they decided to pull the plug rather than letting it continue half-cocked. While I respect their decision, I strongly feel that maybe their standards were a little too high to begin with. Steampunk is a fast, but nevertheless still growing genre, and you can't expect it to be an immediate success. Anyways, people who did get a ticket can either get their money back or, alternatively, use it for getting into Keltfest or Castlefest. Hopefully there will be another version of Nox Obscura somewhere in the future, otherwise we'll just have to make do with the many other festivals and events the Netherlands has to offer! Cyclists also tend to be in London too. You see a lot of bikes there. Bike couriers.
