AO - 4
The four companions slowly made their way throguh the fields of corn and wheat stopping only for five minutes at a time. Haunted by visions of the
Necromonks.
As the sun finnaly begins to rise from behind the mountains the friends stumble out into a road.
On the road lies a cart with a donkey leading it. The wheels are attached to the cart in an odd way: with coils of metal of all things! The driver, a gnome with his coat on inside out, is attacking the odd device with some sort of tool. He fails to notice the up coming characters as they came close.
Andreas looked in the back of the cart, seeing an oppertunity he spoke, "Need some help?" He went down onto the balls of his feet next to the gnome.
Nervote turned around and looked down
Jeffery fixing the cart. He then looked up and saw the tall figure of
Andreas stood other him. He turned back around not wanting to attract to much attention to himself.
Faust looked between the then in the embarasing silence. "I think somthign's about to happen," he said, " i can feel shadows all around this point. Somthing's coming much higher than we saw at the monastry."
A
Fera burst out from between the crops. three horns where mounted on its head. It had the body of a bovine but the feet of a camel and on its back sat a
Necromonk.
Nervote Quickly turn around and branished his sword's from his sheaths. He wielded wildly jumping out of the cart and onto the ground next to
Faust.
A ball of fire apeared in the
Necromonk's hand. "Hand over the sealsss." it hissed its words from under its hooded cloak.
"Onto the cart!" shouted
Andreas.
Faust quickly scrambled between the pieces of junk. "Come on, these monks mean business!"
Nervote jumped in the back of the cart still wielding his blades.
Jeffery wipped the donkey into life as the Monk threw his fire ball scorching the crops. "Faster," shouted
Mirany.
Andreas withdrew his Cwellen and fired at the
Fera, taking it down after several shots. "Don't slow down too much. Where one goes others will follow."
Nervote sat back down after re-sheathing his twin swords and made a silent pray to the gods.
Andreas replaced the cwellen and took out Kivlar and Fuhran, his twin short swords.
"So may I ask who you are, what was that and where are we going?" asked
Jeffery pleasantly.
Faust took a deep breath. "You tell him
Andreas, you know more."
"We are going through the desert, his name is
Faust, and that thing was a necromonk of the fourth order." He sheathed the swords and took out a disk for the cwellen, "Do you think you would be able to make these, mister... gnome?"
"Call me
Jeffery. No, I'm not a black smith, am a... wait! I've got an idea!"
Jeffery reaches back into the cart and pulls out gear about the same size as the disk. "Maybe I could sharpen on of these if you really want. It will cost you something though and you’re really better off finding a black smith. Now the cwellen it self, mhm, I think I could get you a better spin on that..."
The cart slows to a stop now that
Jeffery is thoroughly distracted."
"I'm amazed that you actually know the name of my weapon, very few do," He smiled meagerly, not something he did much, "And I dought that will work to sharpen one of those. Is it just me or have we stopped..." He could feel an unnatural heartbeat coming closer, "Whether or not we might have a follower gaining on us."
Nervote peered back down the path they had come from. He could see nothing, even with his eagle like eyes. "I do not suspect they are still chasing us."
Faust stared at the ground and then looked up. "I think there's a problem. The necromonks will be looking for all of us. Including
Jeffery and
Nervote."
Nervote stood quickly, "I do not agree with your claims I have no need to be hunted, nor shall I be caught."
Andreas put his hand on
Nervote's shoulder, "You may not get caught but you will still be hunted, we're all hunted now."
