| The Pegasus in this artwork is my "Golden_Promise_Pegasus". As I was creating him, the idea of the rainbow in the sky, which he could be jumping over, continually invaded my thoughts. The rainbow is a symbolism of God's Promise that He will never again flood the earth. Since Medusa, Pegasus' mother, a Gorgon, had golden hair and wings, the idea of picturing Pegasus with some of his mother's characteristic with his golden hooves and wings, as inherited golden characteristic great Pegasus. Therefore, these two explanations put together, are the factors that played the definitive role in the naming of this Pegasus of mine. It has also been interesting and rather a nice compliment, seeing it is my Pegasus with "golden attributes" that has gotten the attention of many; it is my Pegasus that has and does stand out among the rest, most of which are white, but in the world of equines, of horsemen and horsewomen, the colour is really considered to be "grey" or "gray", depending on which English you use or speak. The only true white horse is the Albino, which also has blue, pink, or glass eyes. NOTE: With this piece, there are two small details that needed to be corrected and I corrected them in my Christ-mas_Pegasus, when I changed the word "Christmas" to "Christ"-mas. |

| I LOVE the concept of this feature, BUT... This feature is "JPG-ing" the image automatically. Not a good thing, because a JPG cannot possibly compare in quality to the PNG. 'Quality' is important to an artist that is very particular about their work and this JPG transformation basically ruins the PNG of my art. This is exactly what Facebook does to images uploaded there; it JPGs the PNGs! Yuk! If I wanted to compromise my art, I would just save my art as JPGs on my computer. Therefore, in the future there's no point to bother uploading a "PNG", wait forever for it to finally upload, only to first get an error from the browser and then the PNG format gets replaced with the poor quality JPG. As far as this feature and the goal in mind, good idea, but it would be an even better idea/concept, if: - the original file format was retained. - the editing of this page appeared the "same" way in the house as it does on the page. - a certain portion of this page could be selected to appear in one's house. I also tried to replace the JPG upload with the PNG, so the PNG would then show in my house instead of the JPG, but it won't even do this. :(( As it is currently with its drawbacks, on a scale from one to ten, I give it a five. The JPG is harsh and doesn't maintain the "exactness". For instance, the "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year" on the bottom is NOT white in the JPG, because adjacent pixels "blend together" in the the JPG, while as with the PNG example the "white" is maintained and the overall piece is "soft", natural, and just as I created it. |
