Clans & Tribes of Fantasy Humans

     Humans and kin of the Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Fiction Realms. See Human Races for fantasy races.

     The Human Clans and Tribes have always been, and will always be the Moderators between the GOP and MGP Houses. Known as the 'House Moderators', the Human Races are responsible for keeping peace, unity, harmony and balance between the two Houses, which do not always see eye to eye.

     In less formal words, the 'official' job of the Human Clans is to smooth over disagreements between Clans and within them if the need arises for a neutral viewpoint. So if you're a peace keeper or a universal diplomat then you might want to be part of the council. Just message me, [Estantia] if you want to be added to it.

     However not all humans are so active in diplomacy, for this reason the humans are divided into smaller groups. You can be in in more than one of these groups and and the council, for example if you were a travelling mage who happens to be a diplomat, go ahead. I am asking you to be sensible though, no-one is all powerful. If you're not sure what you are, just stay in Civilian.

Note: There can be specialisms among diplomats, for example some people would prefer to only be a diplomat to one or two clans. This is why after adding your name up there it is advisable to put a preference for the kind of role you want to have in the council.

Rules and Laws:

To be decided by members, though "Don't be an asshole" comes as standard.

Lawbreakers, we'd appreciate it if business isn't carried out in the meeting building, that way we don't have to pay for security measures or imprison friends.

2007-02-21 [Estantia]: I'd like to join this clan, though I would like to know duties to know if I would join as leader.

2007-03-04 [Estantia]: Ok, decided properly, I would like to be the leader of the human clans as a representative of the 11th clan.

2007-03-10 [xido]: Sounds great! You have been added to the forum, and made the dictator of that forum and the owner of this page. ;)

Duties will include moderating the page, addressing laws and regulations of the Clan, and overseeing the actions of all who join the Clan.

Be aware that, as a default setting of not choosing a Clan (the position on one's House presentation which currently says, 'Fantasy Race'), will be one of the Human Clans. There will surely be many, and each may make its own internal rules, but the rules of the Clan should be stated clearly for all of its members to know.

Let me know if you need any more ideas, and for now I will stay and help you coordinate the efforts of the Clan until you feel comfortable to operate it on your own, or with other Clan members. As leader of the Draconic Clan, I must give up my membership to the other Clans when they each have a leader and at least one member. When they have Council members, I will be fully functional as one of the Draconic Representatives.

2007-03-10 [Estantia]: Thanks! Now let's see what other people have done to their pages and what I can do to improve this one...

2007-12-28 [xido]: I have posted a comment to the Fantasy Human Contest page about the artwork that I will be making from the entries, and it will actually give you some organizational help for incoming human members. Along with the ones mentioned there, there will also be a Court for the SF / Space Travellers, which I will host a similar contest for (unless you would like to host it as if the Human Clans were sponsoring it). Elfin Clan has hosted a similar contest.

I will let you know when that art is done and posted.

If you ever get a chance to get together with any of the other Clan members, I need [Hedda] to be sent a message (not from me) about how we can help manage and work with the 'Fantasy Race' portion of the current user house stat, and that when the Clans are complete, we will personally be involved in the integration of the Clans into the system.

I say 'a message not from me' because I think when it comes out of my mouth, it is not as important as if it comes from a group of people.

2007-12-29 [Estantia]: It might be a good idea if the human clans were separated into types of people, after all, not everyone is a diplomat, but many are human mages/travellers. Anyone could be a diplomat/leader of their sub-group (member of the human council) but if they don't want to they don't have to have an active part.

2008-01-01 [xido]: That's true. Did you see my idea about the images I would use, and their titles? That might be fun, just for kicks. It is whatever you decide, and if you decide that I need to make an image for you, let me know by msg. ;)
